In the early morning of June 11, the Fire and Rescue Police force (PCCC&CNCH) of Hanoi City Police promptly rescued 4 people trapped in a house fire in Phuong Liet ward.
According to initial information, at about 4:07 am, Command Information Center 114 received a fire report at house number 7, collective area of the Department of Foreign Affairs, residential group number 52, Phuong Liet ward.
Immediately after receiving the news, the Fire and Rescue Team of Area No. 12 dispatched 2 fire trucks, 1 tanker truck, 1 fire truck and officers and soldiers to the scene. The Fire and Rescue Team of Area No. 9 also provided an additional fire truck to participate in extinguishing the fire and rescue.
At the scene, functional forces determined that the fire occurred in a 5-story house, with an area of about 45m2. The fire broke out from the bedroom on the 2nd floor, smoke and heat quickly spread throughout the house.
At the time of the fire, there were 5 people inside. The homeowner escaped safely, while the remaining 4 people were trapped due to thick smoke.
Under the direct command of Lieutenant Colonel Vu Xuan Long - Deputy Head of Fire Fighting and Rescue Team No. 12, the task forces simultaneously deployed firefighting and search and rescue.
Functional forces quickly approached from the adjacent roof, cutting the "tiger cage" iron frame to approach the victims' location.


After a few minutes, all 4 trapped people were taken to the roof next door and to the ground safely. The victims were then transferred to the Post Office Hospital for health check-ups.
According to initial assessments by doctors, the health of the victims is basically stable, mainly affected psychologically due to panic.
At about 5:25 am on the same day, the fire was completely extinguished. The cause of the fire is being investigated and clarified by functional agencies.
