Participating in the reception of the delegation of Taiwan Electricity Trade Union (China) led by Mr. Tieu Huyen Chung, General Secretary of Taiwan Electricity Trade Union, on the side of Vietnam Electricity Group (EVN) was Mr. Pham Hong Phuong - Deputy General Director.
On the side of Vietnam Electricity Trade Union, there were Mr. Do Duc Hung - Chairman of Vietnam Electricity Trade Union; Vice Chairmen of Vietnam Electricity Trade Union: Mr. Uong Quang Huy; Ms. Nguyen Kim Thanh; Ms. Dinh Thi Thanh Binh.
Speaking at the meeting, Chairman of the Vietnam Electricity Trade Union Do Duc Hung affirmed the good relationship between the Vietnam Electricity Trade Union and the Taiwan Electricity Trade Union (China).The two sides also organized delegations to exchange and learn from each other's experiences.
Mr. Tieu Huyen Chung - General Secretary of the Taiwan Electricity Trade Union (China) thanked the Vietnam Electricity Trade Union for the warm and enthusiastic reception; at the same time, expressed his desire to promote cooperation between the two trade union organizations in the coming time.
At the meeting, the leaders of the two sides spent a lot of time discussing the situation of the electricity industry in Vietnam and Taiwan (China). In particular, EVN Deputy General Director Pham Hong Phuong informed the delegation about the scale of Vietnam's electricity system in general, EVN in particular and EVN's development orientation in the coming time, especially in the context of forecasting that the demand for energy and electricity in the coming years will continue to increase rapidly. Along with the goal of ensuring energy security, EVN also participates in the strong energy transition process, contributing to the country's commitment to zero net emissions by 2050.
Secretary General of the Taiwan Electricity Trade Union (China) Xiao Xuan Chung also shared the advantages and difficulties. Accordingly, the Taiwan Electricity Industry (China) is also focusing on developing renewable energy sources, including wind, solar, and even rooftop solar power... This is also a common point that the Taiwan Electricity Industry (China) hopes that the two sides will share and exchange experiences with each other to move towards the common development goal of the energy industry.
In addition, the two sides also shared about the organizational model of the Taiwan Electricity Trade Union (China); activities to care for and protect the rights of union members and workers; working regime, working conditions and environment, funding sources for activities, methods of propaganda and mobilization of union members, etc.
Within the framework of the program, the delegation of the Taiwan Electricity Trade Union (China) also visited the Traditional House of the Vietnam Electricity Industry, thereby hearing about the history of the formation and development of the Vietnam Electricity Industry through visual images and artifacts, directly interacting with documents about large and important projects throughout the heroic history and the process of construction and development of the Electricity Industry.
During the visit, the delegation expressed their admiration for the process of construction, struggle and strong will of the Electricity workers throughout history, and were also very impressed with the scale, development and modernization process of the Vietnam Electricity industry.
