To celebrate the 25th anniversary of Vietnamese Family Day (June 28, 2001 - June 28, 2026) with the theme "Happy Family - Prosperous Nation", within the series of events celebrating the 30th anniversary of the establishment of the Vietnam National Shipping Lines Trade Union (November 25, 1996 - November 26, 2016), the Vietnam National Shipping Lines Trade Union organized the honoring of 11 typical worker families in the period 2023 - 2025.
This is a meaningful activity to show gratitude to the homes that have always accompanied, shared and become a solid rear so that workers can feel secure in their work and contribute to businesses and the Maritime industry.
For maritime workers, especially officers and crew members, each sea voyage is days away from family, facing storms, harsh weather and many challenges. Behind each peaceful journey are wives, husbands, parents and children silently waiting, encouraging, and shouldering family matters so that loved ones can feel secure in sticking to the sea and sticking to ships.
There are families where both husband and wife work in the Maritime industry. They understand the specifics of the profession, shifts, long business trips and even farewells to exchange for peace on each voyage. It is the empathy and sharing that has helped them overcome difficulties together, maintain happiness and continue to stick with the profession.
There are also families where one person works in the Maritime industry and the other works in other fields. Although different professions, they always show sympathy, encouragement and take care of family life properly. From simple daily tasks, silent sacrifices, they have added faith and motivation for workers to be determined to contribute.
The common point of the 11 honored families is love, solidarity and responsibility in building a home. The families always maintain a cultural lifestyle, care for grandparents and parents, raise well-behaved and studious children, and actively participate in local and unit movements. Not only are they happy families, they are also examples of sharing, companionship and responsibility.
Honoring typical worker families is not only recognition of the silent contributions of the rear, but also affirms the consistent viewpoint of the Trade Union of Vietnam National Shipping Lines: Caring for workers must start from caring for their families. Because a happy family is the foundation for workers to feel secure in working, creating, contributing and long-term attachment to the business.
In the 30-year journey of construction and development, the Trade Union of Vietnam National Shipping Lines has always considered taking care of the lives of union members, workers and families as an important task. Honoring typical worker families not only spreads the good values of Vietnamese families but also contributes to fostering corporate culture, building quality, attached and responsible human resources.
On Vietnamese Family Day June 28, the honored families are beautiful stories about love, sacrifice and faith. They are proof that behind each dedicated worker there is always a peaceful home to return to; behind each success of the business there is always the silent but extremely great companionship of the family" - Chairman of the Trade Union of Vietnam National Shipping Lines Mai Le Loi shared.
