On September 3, Mr. Le Phan Linh - Chairman of the Vietnam National Shipping Lines Trade Union said that at the conferences, the Trade Union of the Corporation always integrated information about the 13th Congress of the Vietnam Trade Union, the 6th Congress of the Trade Union of the Corporation, the resolutions and action programs to implement the Congress Resolutions to a large number of union members and employees of the units.
With 52/60 units having organized labor conferences in the first months of 2024, the number of union members and employees of the Corporation's Trade Union who have been approached and communicated about the Congress Resolution has reached more than 20,000 people (out of a total of more than 23,000 employees).
The Corporation's Trade Union has also researched, developed and issued an Action Program to implement the Congress Resolution, 2 programs out of 8 programs expected to be issued in the first half of the term, including the Program to Promote Trade Union Communication Work and the Program for Trade Unions to Participate in Building and Implementing Corporate Culture.
In the first 8 months of 2024, more than 11,570 union members and employees were propagandized, disseminated, studied, and thoroughly understood the Party's guidelines and resolutions, the State's policies and laws related to labor and trade unions (reaching 61% of the year's target); the union participated in encouraging more than 6,990 union members and employees to participate in long-term and short-term training, training courses, and training courses to improve professional qualifications, skills, foreign languages, information technology, and skills (reaching 48% of the year's target).
The Corporation's Trade Union has also focused on promoting the development of union members, mobilizing the establishment of unions in non-state enterprises; launching a peak period of union member development from May to the end of July 2024. As a result, up to now, 1 100% Japanese-owned grassroots union, 1 non-state member grassroots union have been established; 592 new union members have been developed.
