The State Bank Trade Union System Sports Festival, celebrating the 95th anniversary of the establishment of the Vietnam Trade Union, responding to the special emulation movement of the Banking industry to welcome the Party Congresses at all levels and major national holidays in 2025, has officially ended.
With the participation of nearly 900 athletes from the Central State Bank and 63 branches of the State Bank in provinces and cities nationwide, the sports festival created a colorful playground, reflecting the strength of solidarity, determination and passion for sports of officers and union members of the Banking industry.
The athletes competed in badminton, table tennis, tennis, pickleball and tug of war. After more than 2 days of exciting competition, the 2024 State Bank Trade Union Sports Festival ended and found the athletes with outstanding achievements in each sport.
For table tennis, the first prize winners came from the State Bank's Trade Union, Lao Cai Province Branch; the Central State Bank's Trade Union; and the State Bank's Trade Union, Thai Nguyen Province Branch.
For badminton, the first prize was awarded to athletes from the State Bank Trade Union, Hoa Binh branch; the State Bank Trade Union, Lai Chau branch; and the State Bank Trade Union, Nghe An branch.
For the tug of war event, the Championship Cup belongs to the State Bank Trade Union, Kon Tum province branch.
For pickleball, the first prize was awarded to athletes from the State Bank Trade Union, Kon Tum branch; the State Bank Trade Union, Cao Bang branch; and the State Bank Trade Union, Lai Chau branch.
For tennis, the first prize was awarded to athletes from the State Bank's Trade Union, Dak Nong Province Branch; and the Central State Bank's Trade Union.
Athlete Vu Thi Thu Trang from the State Bank of Vietnam, Hung Yen branch, said: "Although we are not professionals, we have devoted ourselves to giving the audience dramatic matches. Participating in the sports festival helps us improve our health and is an opportunity for us to exchange and foster team spirit at work."
Speaking at the closing ceremony, Ms. Nguyen Khanh Chi - Permanent Vice President of the Vietnam Banking Trade Union said: "This is the first sports festival of the State Bank system organized on a national scale and is a sports playground, as well as a cultural event, where officials, union members and workers in the industry have the opportunity to meet, share and be inspired.
Hopefully the successes and spirit from the Sports Festival will continue to spread and encourage us in our work and in our lives."
