In his opening speech, Major General Tran Duy Hung - Political Commissar of Technical Directorate said that over the years, the Party Committee, Directorate commanders; Party committees and commanders of agencies and units have always attached importance to and regularly paid attention to leading, directing, and promoting the position, role and functions of the Trade Union organization.
The Trade Union organization is always the bridge between the unit's leaders and commanders and the trade union members, the representative organization that cares for and protects the legitimate and legal rights and interests of the trade union members and workers; the team of cadres, trade union members and workers always complete and excellently complete the assigned tasks; the Trade Union organization is truly a great force that contributes significantly to building a clean and strong "Exemplary" party organization, a comprehensively strong "Exemplary" agency and unit.
After receiving instructions from the National Defense Trade Union Committee on organizing the Competition for excellent Trade Union cadres in the entire army, the Directorate leaders and commanders directed the organization of the Competition from the grassroots level to the Directorate level. Through the grassroots competition, the units selected excellent grassroots trade union Chairmen (Vice Chairmen), established teams, organized training, and competed in the Directorate level competition.
The 2024 Competition for Excellent Grassroots Union Presidents has 180 contestants from 12 teams and nearly 300 union officials and members cheering and encouraging.
The competing teams went through 4 parts, including: Greeting, Knowledge, Handling situations, Talent. In which, the Knowledge part was conducted on September 11.
The contest is not only a competition day but also an opportunity for grassroots union chairmen to exchange and learn from each other's experiences. This is also an effective way to propagate the Party's guidelines and policies, State laws, and the Union Charter; the professional work of the Union and the workers' movement. In particular, this activity is also the basis for comprehensive training of union cadres to meet the requirements of the new period.
