In recent years, the emulation movement "Good working parents - Good children" has become one of the typical emulation contents, rich in humanity, with strong influence in trade unions at all levels, agencies, enterprises, schools and the social community.

The movement is implemented with the goal of building a prosperous, progressive, happy, and civilized family, while promoting the role of each family in the education of the younger generation, creating a connection between production labor and the comprehensive development of children of union members and workers.

In the 2024 - 2025 school year, Vietnam National Coal - Mineral Industries Group will provide scholarships for the school year to 496 children from primary to university who are children of cadres and workers who sacrificed their lives to the cause of coal production and work-related accidents with 81% or more of poor health, with the scholarship subsidy level ranging from 2.5 million VND/school year to 8 million VND/school year/child, the total amount is 2,077 million VND. Regular allowances for 103 cases of relatives affected by Agent Orange, the amount of 618 million VND; Every year, funds from 2 to 2.2 billion VND are spent to reward and encourage children with high achievements, overcoming difficulties to strive to study.
The Vietnam Coal and Mineral Trade Union directs trade unions at all levels to review the number of children of cadres and workers in special circumstances, difficulty, orphans, disabled people, autistic people, and serious illnesses to organize visits on holidays and Tet. In the past year, nearly 2,300 children (100%) were visited with a budget of 1 million VND/child; regularly visited and presented gifts to 27 kindergartens/ices and kindergartens associated with units, gathering many children of workers and civil servants in the coal and mineral industry on the occasion of the Action Month for Children, Children's Tet, and Mid-Autumn Festival.

On August 15, the Vietnam Coal and Mineral Trade Union honored 130 outstanding father - child, mother - child couples in the movement "Good worker parents, good caregiver, good students".
Speaking at the commendation ceremony, Mr. Tran Hai Binh highly appreciated the coordination between the Trade Union and the Women's Committee for the Group's progress in effectively organizing activities, and expressed his hope that families will continue to be commended as the core of the movement to continue to have more families in the Group with good achievements.
