On August 15, Miss Binh Phuong shared after submitting new evidence to the Ho Chi Minh City People's Court.
Miss Binh Phuong said: "I have been silent all this time, because if I spoke up early, many people would think I was foolish or vulnerable. But in fact, I want to let the evidence say it all.
Currently, all information reflects the truth, there is no longer the scene of people just listening in one direction as before".
Duc Tien's wife also revealed that there will be more stories that she has revealed, and she will share more on the YouTube channel "Duc Tien Official".
"Please everyone wait and see, because this is very important to me and is also a part of the journey to protect honor as well as the truth about what has been happening" - Binh Phuong added.
Previously, on August 14, the Ho Chi Minh City People's Court held a meeting to publicly disclose new evidence and mediate the inheritance dispute between plaintiff Nguyen Binh Phuong (Miss Ao Dai Dallas, wife of actor Duc Tien) and defendant Nguyen Ngoc Anh (Duc Tien's mother), related to real estate in Thu Duc City and Long An (now Tay Ninh).
Binh Phuong, through her representative, submitted to the court many documents including emails, images, and money transfers from the US to Vietnam, affirming that this amount of money was used to buy land and build a house in Thu Duc before the two got married.
According to Miss Binh Phuong, in 2007, she and Duc Tien met and got engaged in 2008. Binh Phuong's family supported 50,000 USD to buy land and build a house.
In October 2008, Duc Tien brought 10,000 USD to Vietnam, the rest was sent by Miss Binh Phuong via money transfer service.
At the end of the year, Binh Phuong will continue to bring an additional 10,000 USD to support construction. During the house construction process, Duc Tien continuously sent emails and photos updating the progress, proving that this was a new construction project, not a repair of the old house as the defendant said.
Binh Phuong said that in March 2011 - before registering her marriage and completing the procedures to guarantee her husband to the US - she brought an additional 10,000 USD to pay off the debt.
At this time, the house in Thu Duc had been granted a certificate in the name of Duc Tien, but Binh Phuong affirmed that it was an asset formed from the money and efforts of both.
In addition, in 2015, the beauty queen couple bought an additional plot of land in Long An (now Tay Ninh), although it was under the name of Duc Tien, the money was sent by Binh Phuong from the US.
From 2020-2023, when repairing and upgrading Thu Duc houses, Duc Tien also transferred more than 20,500 USD and 180 million VND to Vietnam to pay the construction unit.
Binh Phuong rejected her mother-in-law's testimony about living and contributing to the house since 2009. According to Binh Phuong, Ms. Anh was arranged by Duc Tien to live in Bien Hoa since 2020. Binh Phuong believes that real estate in Thu Duc and Long An was formed and repaired during the marriage, and is a common property under Article 33 of the Law on Marriage and Family 2014. Before his death, Duc Tien left a will for Binh Phuong to own these two assets.
The petitioner requested to accept the goods as real estate, accepting to pay Ms. Anh the value equivalent to 2/3 of the inheritance not dependent on the will (about more than 600 million VND).
Meanwhile, Ms. Anh counter-accused, affirming that the house in Thu Duc was bought by her and her son in 2009, then rebuilt, and she had contributed and preserved it since Duc Tien came to the US.
She asked the court not to recognize the will, and suggested receiving 50% of the value of each asset and dividing the remainder to the first inheritance.
