On the morning of July 26, the Vietnam Health Trade Union held the closing ceremony of the Sports Festival to celebrate the 8th Patriotic Emulation Congress of the Health Sector in 2025. Attending were representatives of the Ministry of Health; Associate Professor, Dr. Pham Thanh Binh - Chairman of the Vietnam Health Trade Union; leaders of Bach Mai Hospital.
The sports festival has the participation of 26 teams from 26 grassroots trade unions under the Vietnam Health Trade Union, taking place from July 12-26, 2025.
The sports festival has 5 sports with many diverse competition events, organized at Bach Mai Hospital and some neighboring competition locations: Badminton, table tennis, pickleball, 4 x 100 m running, mixed male - female tug of war.
Based on the competition results, the Organizing Committee awarded 36 first prizes, 36 second prizes, 71 third prizes and flags of all kinds for the men's singles, women's singles, men's doubles, mixed doubles events of the disciplines and the whole team with a total prize money of over 270 million VND.

Speaking at the ceremony, Associate Professor, Dr. Pham Thanh Binh - Chairman of the Vietnam Health Trade Union said that during the three weeks of the event, the sports festival really contributed to building a friendly and effective working environment, retaining and motivating the medical staff to work with peace of mind; concretizing the emulation movement "Good workers - Creative workers", the movement "All people exercise following the example of great Uncle Ho".

According to Associate Professor, Dr. Pham Thanh Binh, in recent years, especially after the COVID-19 pandemic, the health sector has continued to affirm its pioneering role, striving to overcome difficulties, successfully completing the task of protecting, caring for and improving people's health.
Accompanying the industry and health unions at all levels to constantly innovate the content and methods of operation; promoting the role of caring for and protecting the legitimate and legal rights of union members; at the same time launching many patriotic emulation movements, contributing to building a team of health workers "both rosy and professional", solid in expertise, physically strong and mentally strong.
"Today's sports festival is a vivid testament to the spirit of solidarity, dynamism, creativity and determination to surpass themselves of the health sector's staff. We believe that through this activity, the spirit of patriotic emulation will continue to be strongly spread, contributing to building a strong trade union organization, affirming the role of grassroots trade unions in caring for spiritual life, creating a useful and healthy playground for union members and workers in the health sector" - Associate Professor, Dr. Pham Thanh Binh emphasized.
