On the afternoon of July 26, the leader of Khanh Binh commune, Ca Mau province said that the people and the authorities had surrounded and arrested a crocodile in the Hoi Canal. The crocodile weighed 5.7kg. The authorities and people are searching for the remaining child.
Previously, people living in the above area discovered 2 crocodiles floating on the river, so they searched together and reported to the local authorities. As of 5:00 p.m. on July 26, the remaining child had not been caught.

To ensure the safety of the people, the Economic Department of Khanh Binh commune has issued a document requesting the heads of the hamlets to strengthen propaganda work, raise vigilance for the people, not let children swim in the river, do not arbitrarily approach or hunt for crocodiles.
In particular, crocodile farming households in the area should review and repair barns to ensure safety. At the same time, when a cage crocodile incident occurs, it must be reported immediately to the authorities for timely coordination.
Recently, crocodiles have appeared in many Western provinces in canals and ditches. The government and the people are searching together. However, the cause of the large number of crocodiles is still unknown.
