On January 13, at the headquarters of the Ministry of Health, the Standing Committee of the Party Committee of the Ministry of Health had a working session with the Vietnam Health Union to listen to a report on the results of coordination between the Ministry of Health and the Vietnam Health Union in the past time; deploy tasks in the coming time and ask for directions from the Party Committee of the Ministry of Health on deploying trade union tasks for the period 2026-2030.
Attending and directing were Ms. Dao Hong Lan - Member of the Party Central Committee, Secretary of the Party Committee, Minister of Health; Mr. Vu Manh Ha - Alternate Member of the Party Central Committee, Standing Deputy Minister of Health; Mr. Pham Minh Khue - Deputy Secretary in charge of the Party Committee of the Ministry of Health and representatives of the Department of Organization and Personnel, Ministry Office, Party Committee Office of the Ministry of Health.
At the working session, Mr. Nguyen Luong Tam - Member of the Executive Committee of the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor, Chairman of the Vietnam Health Union reported on the results of coordination between the Ministry of Health and the Vietnam Health Union.
Accordingly, in the past time, the Ministry of Health and the Vietnam Health Union have closely coordinated in directing, developing and contributing opinions on policies and laws related to the legitimate rights and interests of cadres, civil servants, public employees and workers in the health sector; effectively implementing grassroots democracy regulations; strengthening inspection and supervision of the implementation of policies and laws, occupational safety and health, gender equality and occupational health care for health workers.
The coordination and implementation of patriotic emulation movements, propaganda, culture - sports, improving professional capacity, developing union members and activities towards borders and islands have also been effectively implemented, creating a widespread spread throughout the sector.
Regarding directions and tasks in the coming time, the Ministry of Health and the Vietnam Health Workers' Union, Mr. Nguyen Luong Tam wished the Standing Committee of the Party Committee and leaders of the Ministry of Health to direct to continue to strengthen coordination, effectively implement key emulation movements, closely follow Resolution 72-NQ/TW of the Politburo on breakthrough solutions, strengthen the protection, care and improvement of people's health and Resolution 57-NQ/TW of the Politburo on breakthroughs in science and technology development, innovation and national digital transformation...
At the working session, the Vietnam Health Union proposed signing a new Coordination Regulation suitable for the 2025-2030 term and suitable for the tasks in the new situation, contributing to building a sustainable health sector, taking better care of the team of health officials and workers.
Also at the working session, the Standing Committee, leaders of the Ministry of Health, the Department of Organization and Personnel, and the Office of the Party Committee of the Ministry of Health also agreed to report on the results of coordination activities between the Ministry of Health and the Vietnam Health Union in the period 2024-2025 as well as the direction and tasks for deploying trade union activities for the 2025-2030 term. At the same time, suggesting the implementation of a number of appropriate coordination contents in the new situation.
Speaking to direct and conclude the working session, Ms. Dao Hong Lan - Member of the Party Central Committee, Secretary of the Party Committee, Minister of Health highly appreciated the proactiveness and recognition of the results achieved in the implementation of coordination activities between the Vietnam Health Union and the Ministry of Health in the past time.
The Minister of Health agreed and assigned the units of the Ministry of Health to coordinate with the Vietnam Health Workers' Union to develop a coordination program between the Vietnam Health Workers' Union and the Ministry of Health for the period 2026-2030.
Ms. Dao Hong Lan noted that it is necessary to continue to closely follow the emulation movements launched by the Ministry of Health to respond and implement them with specific and practical activities, closely following the political tasks of the sector and the requirements for caring for and protecting the medical staff in the new situation, creating a widespread spread throughout the sector.
