Mr. Nguyen Xuan Hung - Vice President of the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor and Mr. Do Xuan Tuyen - Deputy Minister of Health attended the solemn session.

With the motto "Unity - Democracy - Discipline - Innovation - Development", the Congress objectively and comprehensively assesses the results achieved in the period 2023-2025; clearly analyzes the shortcomings, limitations, causes and draws lessons learned after more than 2 years of implementing the Resolution of the 14th Vietnam Medical Workers' Congress; and at the same time determines directions, goals, targets, tasks and key solutions for the 2025-2030 term.
At the second session, the Congress elected 27 members of the Executive Committee of the Vietnam Health Workers' Union for the term 2025-2030. At the first Conference, the Executive Committee of the Vietnam Health Workers' Union for the term 2025-2030 elected 9 members of the Standing Committee, 1 Chairman, 2 Vice Chairmen, and elected the 15th Inspection Committee, term 2025-2030. Mr. Nguyen Luong Tam was re-elected as Chairman of the Vietnam Health Workers' Union for the term 2025-2030; Vice Chairmen: Vu Anh Tuan, Pham Thi Thanh Thuy.

Also at the congress, delegates unanimously elected 7 delegates representing all workers, civil servants and employees of the health sector to attend the 15th Congress of the Vietnam Trade Union.
The Congress agreed on targets for the new term, including the establishment of 5 new grassroots trade unions, real development of an increase of 3,000 trade union members; 100% of trade union officials at all levels are trained and fostered in professional theory and work skills; digital skills and digital practice in trade union activities; 100% of new grassroots trade union presidents are trained and fostered by higher-level trade unions.
In addition, at least 90% of grassroots trade unions and enterprises sign collective labor agreements with employers, of which 95% of collective labor agreements have contents that are more beneficial than the provisions of law...
The Congress identified 3 breakthroughs in the new term, including:
Focus resources on performing the task of caring for, representing, and protecting the legitimate and lawful rights and interests of union members and workers, focusing on implementing the Grassroots Democracy Regulations, dialogue, negotiation, signing and implementation of collective labor agreements, especially on working conditions, preferential treatment and salaries.
Building and organizing the good implementation of the movement "Innovation and breakthrough in the work of caring for, protecting and improving the health of the whole people, towards the satisfaction and trust of the people"; "Vietnam Health Union accompanies for the health of union members and workers"...
Promoting innovation, strongly applying digital transformation in trade union activities, especially in financial work, union member management, and providing trade union welfare services.
Speaking at the congress, Mr. Nguyen Xuan Hung - Vice President of the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor and Mr. Do Xuan Tuyen - Deputy Minister of Health praised, highly appreciated and congratulated the comprehensive results that the Vietnam Health Union has achieved in the past term.
Mr. Nguyen Xuan Hung emphasized 5 key tasks of the Vietnam Health Union in the coming time, in which, the Vietnam Health Union needs to place health workers in the center of development, linking taking care of workers' lives with developing human resources in the health sector.

The Vietnam Health Union needs to continue to strongly innovate activities to care for life, represent, and protect the legitimate and lawful rights and interests of workers; focus on effectively solving specific issues of the industry such as regimes, policies, professional allowances, working conditions and environment, occupational safety and legal protection in the process of performing professional tasks.
In addition, CDYTVN needs to innovate political and ideological education associated with raising legal awareness, professional ethics and the bravery of workers in the health sector; promote patriotic emulation movements, promote improving the quality of expertise, science, technology and digital transformation in the health sector.
Along with that, build strong CDYTVN, capable of representing, protecting and accompanying workers; innovate methods of gathering and mobilizing union members and workers in non-public health facilities and service health facilities.
CDYTVN needs to promote the role of the trade union in participating in building and perfecting health policies; promote the role of supervision and social criticism; actively participate in contributing opinions and recommendations to build and perfect mechanisms and policies directly related to cadres, union members, and health workers, especially policies on training, use, remuneration, protection and honoring the medical staff...
