The workload is too great
In addition to the team of teachers directly in charge of the class, school staff such as accountants, clerical, healthcare, libraries, equipment, etc. are also the forces that contribute to maintaining regular teaching and learning activities. Their work is often quiet behind them, but still comes with a lot of pressure in their work and daily life.

After nearly 17 years as an accountant at a kindergarten in Hung Yen province, Ms. T.H.A.V said that although her job is quiet, it is not much pressure, while her monthly income is only 6.264 million VND.
According to Ms. V, in addition to the assigned accounting task, she also has to concurrently take on many other jobs. Specifically, she took on additional office work, was in charge of the school's information technology, participated in universal education, and many arising tasks such as tree care, campus cleaning... as well as preparing for ceremonies and gatherings.
"The workload is very large, lasting for many years. If it were not for family and parents' encouragement, I would have quit my job a long time ago" - Ms. V shared.
According to her, with the current salary, families with "old parents at the top and young children at the bottom" will face many difficulties.
"If we can take care of our children, we will no longer be able to support them, and most of them still have to rely on the support of their grandparents. With an income of 6 - 7 million VND per month, raising a child studying at university in Hanoi is a big burden, not to mention the living expenses of herself and her family" - Ms. V expressed.
New joy, new motivation
In the context of multi-purpose work but little attention, the National Assembly's approval of a Resolution on a number of specific and outstanding mechanisms and policies to implement breakthroughs in education and training development, in which school staff are entitled to a minimum preferential allowance of 30%, has brought joy and great encouragement to those who have silently contributed to the school for many years.
Sharing with Lao Dong reporter, Ms. Nguyen Thi Nhan - a clerical staff at Mai Lam Secondary School (Dong Anh commune, Hanoi) with 18 years of working - said that she felt excited when for the first time the school's staff was clearly mentioned in the major decisions of the industry.
"After many years of working, I feel more clearly recognized for my silent work. This gives me more motivation to continue to stick with work and the school" - Ms. Nhan expressed.

Sharing the same feelings, Ms. Nguyen Xuyen - a treasurer at a secondary school in Hanoi - said: "The new policy gives me a sense of comfort after more than 20 years of working in the profession".
Ms. Xuyen said that applying a minimum vocational allowance of 30% not only improves income but is also a great source of motivation, helping her feel recognized and secure in her daily work. "This is a spiritual encouragement, making me more confident to continue to contribute to the school, accompanying teachers and generations of students" - Ms. Xuyen shared.
