The Ministry of Education and Training is seeking opinions on the Circular regulating codes, appointments and salary classification for public teachers, including preschool and general education ( economy, junior high school and high school).
At each level of education, teachers are divided into three groups: Teachers, main teachers and senior teachers, equivalent to the current grades III, II and I.
Preschool teacher
Officials appointed to the professional titles of preschool teachers specified in this Circular shall apply the corresponding salary table issued with Decree No. 204/2004/ND-CP dated December 14, 2004 of the Government on salary regime for cadres, civil servants, public employees and armed forces, specifically as follows:
a) Preschool teachers - Code V.07.02.26, are subject to the salary coefficient of type A0 civil servants, from salary coefficient 2.1 to salary coefficient 4.89;
b) Main preschool teachers - Code V.07.02.25, are subject to the salary coefficient of type A1 civil servants, from salary coefficient 2.34 to salary coefficient 4.98;
c) Senior preschool teacher - Code V.07.02.24, is subject to the salary coefficient of civil servants of type A2, group A2.2, from salary coefficient 4.00 to salary coefficient 6.38;
d) Preschool teachers who have not met the standard training requirements prescribed in the Law on Teachers are subject to the salary coefficient of type B civil servants, from the salary coefficient 1.86 to the salary coefficient 4.01.
Primary school teachers
Officials appointed to the professional titles of primary school teachers as prescribed in this Circular shall apply the corresponding salary table issued with Decree No. 204/2004/ND-CP, specifically as follows:
a) Primary school teachers - Code V.07.03.29, are subject to the salary coefficient of type A1 civil servants, from salary coefficient 2.34 to salary coefficient 4.98;
b) Main primary school teachers - Code V.07.03.28, are subject to the salary coefficient of civil servants of type A2, group A2.2, from salary coefficient 4.00 to salary coefficient 6.38;
c) Senior primary school teachers - Code V.07.03.27, are subject to the salary coefficient of civil servants of type A3, group A3.2, from salary coefficient 5.75 to salary coefficient 7.55;
d) Primary school teachers who have not met the training standards are subject to the salary coefficient of type B civil servants, from the salary coefficient of 1.86 to the salary coefficient of 4.00.
High school teachers
Officials appointed to the professional titles of junior high school teachers as prescribed in this Circular shall apply the corresponding salary table issued with Decree No. 204/2004/ND-CP, specifically as follows:
a) Secondary school teachers - Code V.07.07.32, are subject to the salary coefficient of type A1 civil servants, from salary coefficient 2.34 to salary coefficient 4.98;
b) Key secondary school teachers - Code V.07.07.31, are subject to the salary coefficient of type A2 civil servants, group A2.2, from salary coefficient 4.00 to salary coefficient 6.38;
c) Senior secondary school teachers - Code V.07.04.30, are subject to the salary coefficient of type A3 civil servants, group A3.2, from salary coefficient 5.75 to salary coefficient 7.55.
High school teachers
Officials appointed to the professional titles of high school teachers as prescribed in this Circular shall apply the corresponding salary table issued with Decree No. 204/2004/ND-CP, specifically as follows:
a) High school teachers - Code V.07.05.15, are subject to the salary coefficient of type A1 civil servants, from salary coefficient 2.34 to salary coefficient 4.98;
b) Senior high school teachers - Code V.07.05.14, are subject to the salary coefficient of type A2 civil servants, group A2.1, from salary coefficient 4.40 to salary coefficient 6.78;
c) Senior high school teachers - Code V.07.05.13, are subject to the salary coefficient of civil servants of type A3, group A3.2, from salary coefficient 5.75 to salary coefficient 7.55.
