The hot weather in the summer causes the skin to sweat and become greasy, leading to clogged pores and acne. Using natural soap, especially soap made from coconut oil, not only helps clean the skin effectively but also provides the necessary moisture, making the skin soft and smooth and shiny.
Coconut oil contains many fatty acids such as lauric acid, capric and caprylic with anti-inflammatory antibacterial properties, helping to effectively clean the skin. In addition, coconut oil is rich in vitamin E with antioxidants, which help moisturize and protect the skin from the effects of the environment.
Using coconut oil soap in the summer will help keep the skin clean, soft and smooth and not dry. Refer to how to make coconut oil soap at home to both save costs and ensure safety for products that are not harmful to the skin.
To make coconut oil soap, prepare 20 teaspoons coconut oil; 20 teaspoons beeswax; 5 teaspoons olive oil; 170g sodium hydroxide (NaOH); 1 liter of water; natural essential oil (optional).
When the above ingredients are ready, mix NaOH with 1 liter of water, stir well until NaOH is completely dissolved into the water.
Melt the beeswax in a pot at the right temperature, add coconut oil, stir gently until the mixture is mixed, then add olive oil, continue stirring well for about 5 minutes and turn off the heat. Pour the NaOH solution into the coconut oil mixture, stirring quickly until the mixture thickens.
Pour the mixture into the mold to cool until it thickens. Once the soap has hardened, remove it from the mold and leave it in a cool place for 4 to 6 weeks until the soap is finished. Store the soap in a cool, dry place to prolong the shelf life.
Note that when making soap, use gloves and protective glasses to ensure safety. The product is also out of reach for children.
