On July 22, the Son La Provincial Labor Federation (LĐLĐ) organized the 3rd Conference of the Executive Committee of the Provincial LĐLĐ (expanded), term XVI, term 2025-2030.
The conference focused on evaluating the results of trade union activities in the first 6 months of the year, key tasks for the last 6 months of 2026; the results of Workers' Month and preliminary reviews of 5 years of implementing Action Program No. 02/CTr-BCH associated with the Resolution of the 13th Party Congress and Resolution No. 02-NQ/TW of the Politburo.


The Son La Provincial Labor Federation currently manages 192 grassroots trade unions with 13,964 union members. In the past 6 months, trade union levels have promoted the work of caring for and protecting the legitimate and lawful rights and interests of workers.
In the first 6 months of 2026, nearly 7,000 turns of union members and workers were cared for with a total cost and material value of over 5 billion VND.
From the Trade Union funds of the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor and the Provincial Labor Federation, 4,212 union members and workers were supported with a total amount of more than 3.4 billion VND.
During Workers' Month, 12 grassroots trade unions coordinated to organize "Trade Union Meals" for more than 2,500 union members and workers. The Provincial Labor Federation supported the construction and repair of 5 "Trade Union Homes" with a total value of 230 million VND.

The unit also presented 30 gifts, worth 75 million VND, to union members in difficult circumstances, suffering from serious illnesses, labor accidents, and occupational diseases.
Union member development work achieved positive results. The Provincial Labor Federation established and received 7 new grassroots trade unions and admitted and received 1,610 union members, reaching 80% of the assigned target.
Trade union levels introduced 425 outstanding union members to the Party for consideration and training, of which 190 people were admitted to the Party.
On this occasion, the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor awarded Certificates of Merit to 8 individuals belonging to the Son La Provincial Labor Federation; the Provincial Labor Federation was awarded the Leading Emulation Flag of the Northern border mountainous emulation cluster in 2025. The Son La Provincial Labor Federation awarded 15 sets of handwriting for reading and learning English to children of union members in difficult circumstances.
