From July 15, Hanoi City Police is expected to put into operation 36 large LED screens at many key traffic junctions. The system is directly connected to the Hanoi Traffic Control Center.
According to the Traffic Police Department (CSGT) of Hanoi City Police, during peak hours, the screen will display the traffic situation at the front intersection, and at the same time provide directions for traffic diversion or suggest alternative routes for people to proactively choose a suitable direction, limiting congestion.
When heavy rain occurs or localized flooding appears, the system will also promptly update information and warn affected areas, helping drivers avoid deep flooded roads or difficult traffic.
In addition to peak hours, LED screens will be used to propagate and disseminate knowledge about traffic order and safety, legal regulations and update penalties for violations, contributing to raising traffic participants' compliance awareness.
Putting the LED screen system into operation is one of the solutions towards building an intelligent transportation system, serving to ensure traffic order and safety and people's travel needs. Below are the expected locations for installing LED screens.
