On the afternoon of June 1st, the grassroots Trade Union of Binh Thuan Urban Environment and Service Joint Stock Company (under the Tien Thanh Ward Trade Union, Lam Dong province) coordinated with business leaders to organize a program to reward children of union members and workers with high achievements in their studies in the 2025-2026 school year, combined with celebrating Children's Day for children.
The program is organized on the occasion of International Children's Day June 1st and in response to the Action Month for Children 2026.
At the ceremony, 87 students with excellent academic achievements and children of union members were commended and rewarded. Among them, 7 provincial-level excellent students received cash prizes worth 1 million VND/prize.
In addition, 11 excellent high school students received 700,000 VND/prize; 38 excellent secondary school students received 500,000 VND/prize and 38 excellent elementary school students received 300,000 VND/prize. Students were also given notebooks for study.
According to the grassroots Trade Union of Binh Thuan Urban Environment and Service Joint Stock Company, the commendation activity aims to encourage the spirit of studiousness, encourage students to continue to strive for training and achieve better results in their studies.
In addition to the commendation ceremony, the program also organized entertainment, exchange and gift-giving activities for 289 children of union members and workers working at enterprises.
Gifts and collective activities have brought a joyful atmosphere, helping children have a meaningful International Children's Day.
The total cost of implementing the program is nearly 78 million VND. Of which, business leaders supported nearly 49 million VND, and grassroots trade unions contributed nearly 29 million VND.
Ms. Dao Thi Ha Ny - Chairwoman of Tien Thanh Ward Trade Union said that taking care of children of union members and workers not only contributes to encouraging families to feel secure in working and production, but also shows the concern of businesses for the material and spiritual life of workers.
This is also one of the practical activities to strengthen the connection between businesses and workers, building a friendly, stable and sustainable working environment.
