Joy with the home of the union
"The Trade Union organization not only helps my family have a warm house but also helps me with flooding and leakage every time it rains," Mr. Tran Huu Duc (a member of the Trade Union of Cadovimex II Seafood Import-Export Processing and Export Joint Stock Company, Sa Dec Industrial Park) said emotionally at the handover ceremony of the Trade Union Shelter (MACD) handed over by the Dong Thap Provincial Federation of Labor on September 13, 2025.
Mr. Duc's house was built with a damaged tree over the years, and the foundation is nearly 1m lower than the road surface, so it leaks and floods every time it rains. Although he really wanted to, for many years Mr. Duc has not been able to renovate his home because his and his wife's income from work is only enough to cover the minimum needs of a family of 5 with 2 children in school and an elderly mother who is often sick.
"Therefore, when the Golden Heart Social Charity Fund (XHTT) considered MACD support, I was as happy as if I had won a lottery" - Mr. Duc shared.
Ms. Le Thi Tuyet Nhung in the fish repair department was no less happy to receive MACD support from the union organization. Because her family of 5 has been exposed to the sun and rain for many years, but there have been no conditions to repair it. Both Ms. Tuyet and Mr. Duc feel even happier when they know that their family is 2 out of 100 MICDs supported by the Dong Thap Provincial Federation of Labor as a project to celebrate the 1st Dong Thap Provincial Party Committee Delegation University, term 2025-2030.
Spreading the fire of humanity
"The Golden Heart Social Support Fund supported 60 million VND, the amount was not large but enough for my family to have a spacious house today" Mr. Tran Huu Duc shared. Because the house foundation had to be raised to 1m to avoid flooding, the total cost increased to 200 million VND. At a time when it seemed like a deadlock due to being beyond the means, the support of the Trade Union organization became a fulcrum, indirectly removing difficulties for the family.
When hearing the news of the union supporting MACD, relatives and people who contributed a small amount of money to Mr. Duc borrowed without interest to build it. When completed, the union and the Company's leaders presented essential household appliances.
Immediately after the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of the province launched a peak emulation movement with the theme 30 days to Dong Thap Provincial Party Committee University and the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor launched the emulation campaign 120 days of sprinting, the Provincial Federation of Labor has launched all levels of trade unions, cadres, union members, and workers to register for the first emulation projects and tasks to celebrate the 14th Provincial Party Committee Delegation University, towards the 14th National Delegation of the Party - Ms. Huynh Thi Tuyet Vui - Provincial Party Committee member, Vice Chairman of the Provincial Fatherland Front Committee, Chairman of the Dong Thap Provincial Federation of Labor - shared.
In addition to launching emulation in accordance with the practical and specific situation of the locality, agencies, units, and enterprises, the Provincial Federation of Labor also guides trade unions and employees at all levels to promote initiatives, improve, improve labor productivity and innovate methods of caring for the material and spiritual lives of employees in a practical direction.
The Provincial Federation of Labor has pioneered the example of choosing to invest 100 MICD. This decision not only demonstrates the responsibility to care for workers to settle down, but also demonstrates the spirit of mutual love between workers and the family and workers with organizations and enterprises.
