On December 20, speaking with a reporter from Lao Dong Newspaper, Ms. Tran Thi Thanh Ha - Member of the Presidium, Head of the Labor Relations Department of the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor - said that, implementing the Government's digital transformation policy and promoting non-cash payments, on the occasion of the Lunar New Year 2025, the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor continues to organize the online program "Trade Union Tet Market 2025" (Online Tet Market). This activity also aims to allow union members and employees of the Vietnam Trade Union system to shop for goods during Tet at preferential prices, in a convenient manner, anytime, anywhere.
The online Tet market with the address https://chotet.congdoan.vn/ will start operating from 0:00 on December 20 to 24:00 on January 20, 2025 (from November 20 to December 21, the year of the Dragon).
To bring joy to union members and workers every time Tet comes, the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor has decided to spend 100 billion VND to give shopping vouchers worth 500,000 VND/voucher to 200,000 union members and workers.
According to the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor, the beneficiaries of the 500,000 VND voucher to attend the online "2025 Trade Union Tet Market" are union members with outstanding achievements in labor, production, and participation in trade union activities; union members who are still facing difficulties and have low incomes.
As of December 20, nearly 30 businesses have qualified to participate in selling on the Online Tet Market with 1,515 essential items for Tet and consumer products including food, beverages: gift packages, Tet gift baskets; decorations and products related to Tet; other products such as clothing, chemicals, household appliances, etc.
In addition to receiving a shopping voucher worth 500,000 VND/person from the union, when participating in the online Tet Market, union members and workers also receive incentives from businesses participating in the online Tet Market such as free shipping for orders worth 200,000 VND or more; an average discount of 10 - 67% compared to the normal selling price on the market of the business.

It is known that the Vietnam Airlines Corporation Trade Union received 1,000 free shopping vouchers worth 500,000 VND from the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor to give to union members and workers.
Ms. Nguyen Dai Trang - Member of the Women's Union of Tan Son Nhat Cargo Services Joint Stock Company - said that since the evening of December 18, after the online Tet Market was put into trial operation, she has used shopping vouchers to shop.
Ms. Trang commented that the items on the website https://chotet.congdoan.vn/ are quite diverse and have many discounts. She ordered a set of pots and pans worth 500,000 VND. The female union official said that the item she ordered was worth 1 million VND but was discounted by 50%.
Regarding the reason why union officials were “allowed” to order early, Ms. Trang explained: “We were able to experience purchasing goods in advance to gain experience in guiding union members and workers when they encounter problems. It was not until December 20 that workers began to purchase on the website https://chotet.congdoan.vn/”.
After the shopping experience, Ms. Trang shared that it only took 3 minutes, from the time of choosing the item to the ordering and payment stages. The steps are very simple and quick, so workers can easily shop.
Sharing more, Ms. Trang said that the Trade Union of Tan Son Nhat Cargo Services Joint Stock Company has allocated 40 places to employees.
According to the Soc Trang Provincial Federation of Labor, the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor allocated to units over 2,000 free shopping vouchers on the online Tet Market trading floor.
As one of the union members who successfully purchased goods on December 20, Ms. Tran Nguyen Phuong Thao - Union of Tan Hue Vien Pia Cake - Lap Xuong Food Processing Company Limited, under the Union of Industrial Parks of Soc Trang province, said that with a 500,000 VND voucher, she was able to buy some household items, cakes and spices for cooking.
Ms. Thao added that purchasing is also quite easy and easy to do. According to Mr. Ly Truong Khoa - Vice Chairman of the Trade Union of Industrial Parks in Soc Trang province, the Trade Union of Industrial Parks was allocated 1,000 vouchers by the Soc Trang Provincial Labor Federation to purchase goods at the Trade Union Tet Market. On the morning of December 20, the Standing Committee of the Trade Union of Industrial Parks organized instructions for the chairmen and vice chairmen of the affiliated trade unions on how to purchase goods.
