On August 20, at Ton Duc Thang University, the Ho Chi Minh City Labor Federation organized the 26th Ton Duc Thang Award in 2026 for 11 outstanding workers and engineers.
These are individuals with many initiatives and technical improvements, making practical contributions to improving productivity, quality and efficiency of production and business. The honored examples operate in many fields such as mechanical engineering - machine manufacturing, industrial electricity, refrigeration, electronics, information technology, chemistry, environment and other industries.
Each individual was awarded a Certificate of Merit from the Ho Chi Minh City People's Committee, a symbol and a bonus of 50 million VND. The total bonus value is 550 million VND.

Speaking at the program, Mr. Bui Thanh Nhan - Chairman of the Ho Chi Minh City Labor Federation said that innovation does not necessarily start from great things but can originate from the daily work of workers, from a problem that needs to be solved or an initiative to do better than yesterday.

According to Mr. Nhan, honoring typical workers and engineers is not only to show gratitude but also to create motivation for initiatives to continue to spread, thereby contributing to building a modern team of Ho Chi Minh City workers, capable of innovation, creativity and contributing to the development of the city.
On this occasion, the Ho Chi Minh City Labor Federation also launched the Mini Digital Trade Union App. This is a solution to innovate operating methods, improve the quality of service to union members and gradually build a Digital Trade Union. Through the application, union members can access Trade Union activities information, welfare programs and care policies.

Since 1999, the Ton Duc Thang Award has been co-founded by the Ho Chi Minh City Labor Federation and Saigon Giai Phong Newspaper to honor typical workers and engineers with outstanding achievements in labor, initiatives, technical improvements and innovation. From the typical examples honored, the Ton Duc Thang Award creates a spreading force for the movement "Good Labor, Creative Labor", arousing the spirit of improvement and innovation among union members and workers in Ho Chi Minh City.
