At the conference, leaders of the City Labor Federation informed about preparations for the first Job Consulting Festival, which will take place from December 5 to 7 at the Vietnam-C around-the- Union Friendship Labor Cultural Palace. Delegates discussed and answered questions on a number of contents related to job needs in the city; expanding the number of participants in the festival as well as spreading information about the festival to a large number of union members and workers.
The event aims to continue to successfully implement Resolution No. 02-NQ/TW dated June 12, 2021 of the Politburo on "Innovation of organization and operation of Vietnam Trade Union in the new situation"; practically welcoming the 1st Hai Phong City Trade Union Congress, term 2025 - 2030. At the same time, it creates effective connections between workers and businesses, contributing to job creation, sustainable labor restructuring, meeting the requirements of socio-economic development of the city and the country. The festival will also be an opportunity to support union members, workers, students, demobilized soldiers and freelance workers to access information about the labor market, recruitment plans, career orientation and appropriate job opportunities...
The main activities at the festival include job consultation, labor recruitment, information on social housing projects; propaganda on employment, practicing collective skills for union members and workers - Workshop to answer questions about social housing policies; cultural performances, voluntary blood donation programs, propaganda on labor laws, social insurance policies. At the program, the City Labor Federation also organized free health check-ups; free motorbike oil changes for union members and workers; organized a lucky draw program with many attractive gifts.
According to the Organizing Committee, up to now, 118 units have registered to participate in the festival. Of which, 88 recruitment consulting units; 3 banking units, 7 recruitment units, social housing consulting; 20 regional specialty food stalls. The total recruitment demand up to now is 16,000 workers.
The City Labor Federation arranged vehicles to go to military checkpoints to pick up and drop off soldiers preparing for discharge to attend the festival. In addition, organizing an online trading floor with workers from far away, there is no opportunity to come and listen to direct consultation.
