Hai Phong - The City Labor Federation has just awarded funds to support union members and workers in 3 Central - Central Highlands provinces that suffered damage from floods.

Accordingly, the City Labor Federation supported union members and workers in 3 provinces that suffered damage from floods and rains, including Dak Lak, Gia Lai, and Khanh Hoa. The support budget is 200 million VND/locality from the City Labor Federation Trade Union Shelter Fund.

In recent days, the Central Central Highlands region has continuously suffered from prolonged floods, causing major floods and widespread landslides, leaving especially serious damage to people and property. As of November 23, floods have left 102 people dead and missing (including 90 dead, 12 missing), hundreds injured; 1,154 houses damaged, more than 185,700 houses were deeply flooded.

Currently, many localities are still being severely affected: Dak Lak province still has 4 communes and wards flooded; Khanh Hoa province still has 87 households with 364 people having to evacuate; Lam Dong province still has 127 households affected by flooding...

Implementing the direction of the Politburo in which Hai Phong city was assigned to support Dak Lak province, on November 23, the city's leadership delegation also visited, encouraged and presented money and gifts to support people in Dak Lak province to overcome the severe consequences of floods. 40 billion VND in cash along with many types of medicine and medical supplies worth 2 billion VND were donated to Dak Lak province to help the locality provide emergency relief to people and handle some urgent problems.
