The meeting was chaired by Colonel Nguyen Van De - Member of the Presidium of the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor, Head of the National Defense Trade Union Committee.
Accordingly, the congress has 295 official delegates, who are exemplary union officials and members, representing more than 156,000 union members in the entire army.
Informing the press, Colonel Nguyen Van De - Member of the Presidium of the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor, Head of the National Defense Trade Union - said that the congress is tasked with summarizing and evaluating the results of the workers' movement and activities of the Military Trade Union, period 2023-2025, determining the direction, goals and tasks of the workers' movement for the period 2025-2030; discussing and contributing opinions to the draft Report of the Executive Committee of the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor, term XIII, to the 14th Congress of the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor, term 2026-2031 and giving opinions on amending and supplementing the Charter of the 13th Vietnam General Confederation of Labor; Electing the delegation of the Military Trade Union to attend the 14th Congress of the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor, term 2026-2031.
The theme of the congress is Promoting the qualities of "Worker Soldier", innovating, creating, pioneering in science and technology to build a revolutionary, disciplined, elite, and modern Army.
The 11th Army Trade Union Congress is an important milestone, demonstrating a new step in the development of the Trade Union organization in the Army. The Congress affirmed the bravery, intelligence, spirit of innovation and aspiration to contribute of the team of cadres, union members and workers of the entire army.
With the motto "Solidarity - Democracy - Discipline - Innovation - Development", the congress will strongly spread the spirit of solidarity, the will to innovate and be creative; promote the noble qualities of "The Skilled Soldier - Uncle Ho's Army"; encourage the spirit of daring to think, daring to do, pioneering in scientific research, applying technology, digital transformation, mastering modern weapons and equipment, building a strong Trade Union organization, meeting the requirements of building a revolutionary, disciplined, elite, modern Vietnam People's Army in the new era.
