On the afternoon of December 22, in Hanoi, Politburo member and Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh - Chairman of the Central Emulation and Reward Council - chaired the 16th meeting of the Council for the 2021-2025 term to continue reviewing preparations for the 11th Patriotic Emulation Congress, scheduled to take place on December 26-27.
Attending the meeting were Politburo member, Secretary of the Party Central Committee, Chairman of the Central Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Bui Thi Minh Hoai; members of the Party Central Committee: Vice President Vo Thi Anh Xuan, Deputy Prime Minister Pham Thi Thanh Tra, Minister of Home Affairs Do Thanh Binh; Vice President of the Central Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front, President of the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor Nguyen Dinh Khang; leaders of ministries, branches and agencies.
At the meeting, the Council reviewed the overall tasks and preparations for the 11th National Patriotic Emulation Congress; considered the policy of considering awarding the titles of "Hero of the People's Armed Forces" and "Hero of Labor" to collectives and individuals to honor at the congress.
In his concluding remarks, the Prime Minister stated that the spirit of organizing the 11th National Patriotic Emulation Congress must ensure solemnity, seriousness, joy, health, uniqueness, high spillover, sustainability, and safety.
Thereby creating motivation, inspiring and cheering for emulation movements in the new period, contributing to the whole country firmly entering a new era of strong, civilized, prosperous and happy development.
The Prime Minister emphasized that the 11th National Patriotic Emulation Congress is an important political event of the country, meaning to summarize the emulation journey of the past 5 years - a very special term, many difficulties, challenges, many unprecedented issues, exceeding forecasts.
Therefore, the report at the congress must accurately reflect the nature of emulation movements, with the ultimate goal of bringing benefits to the country and people; reflecting the core values of the nation and affirming the heroic historical tradition and unique culture of the nation.
The summary of emulation movements must be comprehensive, comprehensive and balanced in all sectors, fields, regions, and components; showing a panoramic picture of the vibrant emulation movements across the country, especially the results of movements, with specific products that the people truly enjoy.
According to the Prime Minister, the congress is also a place to honor advanced models. Through that, converge and spread the spirit of patriotism, the will to rise up, the aspiration to contribute of the entire nation; arouse the strength of the great national unity bloc, combine internal strength with external strength, the strength of the nation and the strength of the times, the strength of the State with the strength of the people.
At the same time, open a new emulation period, bringing the country to develop richly, prosperously, civilizedly, happily, firmly moving towards socialism.
The Prime Minister requested that congresses and activities within the framework of congresses such as art programs, exhibitions, cultural activities, etc. must exude an emulation atmosphere in each person, each job, each industry, each event.
