On June 26, the Vietnam Education Union (GDVN) organized a conference to summarize 15 years of implementing Resolution No. 6b/NQ-BCH, Directive No. 03/CT-TLĐ for the period 2010-2025.
Speaking at the opening, Mr. Nguyen Ngoc An - Chairman of the Vietnam Education Union emphasized that the results achieved in the past 15 years are an important foundation, but cannot be applied intact in the new context. Faced with the strong changes in the country and global trends, female teachers and workers in the Education sector need to proactively innovate their thinking, improve their adaptive capacity, and be ready to meet the requirements of the digital transformation and new development era.
Reporting on the summary of 15 years of implementing Resolution No. 6b/NQ-BCH on mobilizing female workers, civil servants, and laborers in the period of accelerating industrialization and modernization of the country and Directive No. 03/CT-TLĐ on continuing to promote the emulation movement "Good at work, good at housework" among female workers, civil servants, and laborers in the period 2010-2025, Ms. Luong Thi Viet Ha - Head of Labor Relations Department of the Vietnam Education Union said that in the past 15 years, trade unions of units have organized over 10,000 propaganda sessions for 500,000 female officials, teachers, and laborers (CBNGNLĐ) about regimes and policies; about gender, gender equality...
Social activities, supporting female CBNGNLĐ in difficult circumstances, supporting CBNGNLĐ children overcoming difficulties to study well and other humanitarian and charitable activities are effectively implemented by trade union levels. Trade unions of units have promptly supported and visited and encouraged female CBNGNLĐ in difficult family circumstances from trade union funds such as the "Trade Union Home" fund, the "Supporting Female CBNGNLĐ in Difficult Circumstances" fund... Annually, the work of supporting visits by trade unions of units reaches a total amount of over 1.5 billion VND.
Trade unions of units are also very interested in women's work, increasing the proportion of women participating in the Executive Committee, Standing Committee, and key positions. As a result, the proportion of women participating in the Standing Committee and Executive Committee increased compared to the previous term. In the 2025-2030 term, there are 290 female officials in the Trade Union Executive Committee, ensuring a rate of over 30%. The number of female CBNGNLĐ who have studied to improve their professional qualifications, skills, and nghiệp vụ in the period 2021-2025 is 353,740 people.
As a result of implementing Directive No. 03/CT-TLĐ dated August 18, 2010 of the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor, female CBNGNLĐ paid special attention to self-study, self-training, improving qualifications, professional expertise, actively innovating teaching methods, scientific research, and using information technology in the teaching process... In addition to family building, many female CBNGNLĐ have actively responded to social and charity activities, contributing to support funds such as: "For the Poor Fund", "Gratitude Fund", "Child Protection Fund"...
At the conference, Ms. Nguyen Thi Le Huong - Hue University Trade Union said that the team of female officials and employees at the unit currently accounts for 57.4% of the total human resources, including 2 professors, 56 associate professors, 147 doctors and 856 masters. The movement "Good at work, good at home" has become a motivation for female officials to constantly improve their professional qualifications, innovate teaching methods and promote scientific research.
The movement "Good at work, good at home" is implemented at Hue University Trade Union through a number of creative models and ways of doing things such as integrating research and in-depth teaching models, charity models associated with specialized characteristics, charity associated with "returning to the source" activities...

Ms. Vu Thi Hong Phuong - Trade Union of Thuong Mai University pointed out some practical issues that female workers are facing such as pressure from autonomy mechanisms, KPI and digital transformation; in some places, female labor activities are still heavily focused on form; some current policies do not fully reflect gender characteristics in the higher education environment.
From the above reality, representatives of the Trade Union of Thuong Mai University proposed a number of orientations at the grassroots level: Flexify working hours for female workers in the stage of raising young children, organize groups to support scientific research for female lecturers... At the same time, to make the solutions widely implemented, representatives of the Trade Union of Thuong Mai University expressed their desire to receive support from the Vietnam Education Union through organizing in-depth training programs on gender equality.
At the Conference, the Vietnam Education Union awarded Emulation Flags to 3 collectives with outstanding achievements in the emulation movement "Good at work, good at home" in the 2021-2025 period; awarded Certificates of Merit to 13 collectives and 43 individuals with outstanding achievements in the emulation movement "Good at work, good at home" in the 2021-2025 period.
