On March 7, the Standing Committee of the Trade Union of Industrial Parks (IPs) of Soc Trang province held a conference to summarize the work of women's workers in 2024 and a meeting to celebrate the 115th anniversary of International Women's Day (March 8) in conjunction with the 60th anniversary of the "Three guarantees" movement.
Mr. Ly Truong Khoa - Vice Chairman of the Trade Union of Industrial Parks of Soc Trang province - said that in 2024, the Standing Committee has completed and supplemented members of the Women's Union of Industrial Parks of Soc Trang province, term 2023 - 2028, to enhance operational efficiency and protect the rights of female workers.
The emulation movement "Good at public work, good at housework" continues to be promoted and 9,850 female union members have been recognized for achieving the title, reaching 110%.
The grassroots trade unions have organized many exciting and practical activities to celebrate International Women's Day 8.3 and the Hai Ba Trung uprising such as: meetings, men's football tournaments, women's football tournaments, cooking competitions, folk games, tours, flower arrangement, karaoke singing... attracting over 10,725 female workers to participate. Through these activities, female union members and workers have the opportunity to exchange, learn experiences, practice health, and contribute to the development of businesses.
In 2024, the Standing Committee of the Trade Union of Industrial Parks of the province created conditions for 100 female union members and workers to participate in the Prenatal screening activity to improve the quality of Vietnam's population and 101 female union members and workers to have reproductive health check-ups, demonstrating concern for the health and life of female workers.
On this occasion, the Standing Committee of the Provincial Industrial Parks Trade Union presented gifts and sent good wishes to the female union officials at the grassroots level.
In particular, the Standing Committee of the Trade Union also awarded the First, Second and Third prizes to the 3 teams with the highest interaction on the Trade Union Fanpage of Industrial Parks in Soc Trang province in the online "Family Meal" Photo Contest, aiming to spread family values and create cohesion in the labor community.
