Education sector brings AI into lectures
In early November 2024, teacher Nguyen Thi Thuan and students of class 5A5, Tan Tien Primary School (An Duong district) participated in the English lesson "Unit 4: Free Time" with the participation of AI application. Using modern applications, Ms. Thuan helps students practice 4 skills: Listening - Speaking - Reading - Writing. From there, students proactively grasp knowledge, contributing to the development of general competencies and specific language competencies to apply in life and study.
By applying AI technology in teaching, the lesson "Introduction to chemical bonds" of teacher Luu Thi Mai Phuong and 7th grade students of Tran Phu Secondary School (Le Chan District, Hai Phong) became more exciting and attractive.
According to Ms. Phuong, she deployed tools such as Chat GPT to support students in explaining knowledge in detail, and simulation software to help students observe the structure and process of chemical bond formation visually. At the same time, the use of testing software such as Kahoot has created an interactive learning environment, making assessment more effective.
Mr. Pham Quoc Hieu, Deputy Director of the Department of Education and Training of Hai Phong City, said that the new general education program focuses on developing students' abilities, including autonomy and self-study; communication and cooperation skills; problem-solving and creativity skills that need attention.
To comprehensively develop students' abilities, many teachers innovate teaching methods, including applying digital transformation and artificial intelligence technology.With the support of AI, teachers have more powerful tools to convey knowledge, and students have a better learning environment.
Application in training and labor recruitment
Not only applied in the education sector, some businesses and grassroots unions in Hai Phong also apply AI in recruitment, labor training as well as professional activities.
Ms. Bui Hong Lien, Chairman of the Trade Union of Maple Company Limited (VSIP Industrial Park) said that for the past 2 years, the company has applied AI in building professional and skill training programs for workers and laborers or in activities to propagate policies and laws for union members. The application of AI helps make video clips and lecture explanations in training and recruitment become faster and easier.
“Although not yet applied to the direct production sector, at Maple Company, the office staff also apply AI technology in deploying reports and documents sent to customers, improving work efficiency” - said the company's union chairman.
It is known that in 2024, Hai Phong City's trade unions at all levels will strengthen digital transformation in their operations through many forms: Google tools, AI, App "Huong Cong - Hai Phong Trade Union" with the aim of taking care of union members and employees.
In particular, guiding grassroots trade unions to exploit digital technology and artificial intelligence in trade union activities such as building a database on salaries, Tet bonuses, welfare policies, surveying social housing needs, etc. Along with AI technology, the implementation of the Huong Cong - Hai Phong Trade Union application is also an important step in digital transformation of trade union activities when providing services such as online legal consultation and support, shopping, borrowing money, participating in online competitions, etc., creating favorable conditions for workers and civil servants to access benefits quickly and appropriately in the actual situation.
