On December 13, at the Party Central Committee Headquarters, the Politburo reviewed and disciplined party members with violations and shortcomings, according to VNA.
After considering the proposal of the Central Inspection Commission, the Politburo found that: Comrade Nguyen Xuan Phuc, during his tenure as Politburo member, Secretary of the Party Committee, and Prime Minister, violated Party and State regulations in performing assigned duties and tasks, in preventing and combating corruption and negativity; violated regulations on what Party members are not allowed to do and the responsibility to set an example; caused serious consequences, bad public opinion, and affected the reputation of the Party and State.
Comrade Truong Thi Mai, during her tenure as Politburo member, Secretary of the Party Central Committee, and Head of the Central Mass Mobilization Commission, violated Party and State regulations in performing assigned duties and tasks; violated regulations on controlling power in personnel work, regulations on what Party members are not allowed to do and the responsibility to set an example; caused serious consequences, affecting the prestige of the Party and State.
Comrade Truong Hoa Binh, during his tenure as Politburo member, Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee, Permanent Deputy Prime Minister of the Government, was irresponsible in leadership and direction; violated Party and State regulations in performing assigned duties and tasks, in preventing and combating corruption and negativity; violated regulations on what Party members are not allowed to do and the responsibility to set an example; caused serious consequences, bad public opinion, affecting the prestige of the Party and State.
Based on the content, nature, level, consequences, and causes of violations by the above-mentioned Party members, according to the Party's regulations on disciplining violating Party members, the Politburo decided to impose a warning on comrades Nguyen Xuan Phuc and Truong Hoa Binh; and a reprimand on comrade Truong Thi Mai.
Propose that competent authorities promptly enforce administrative discipline in line with party discipline.
