Warm bus trips taking Hai Phong workers home for Tet

On the morning of January 26, hundreds of workers of Yazaki Hai Phong Vietnam Co., Ltd. and their relatives boarded the union bus, preparing to return home to celebrate Tet with their families.

At 6:00 a.m. on January 26, in cold windy weather of just over 10 degrees Celsius, nearly 400 workers and their families hurriedly moved to the factory gate, boarding a bus to their hometown organized by the Trade Union of Yazaki Hai Phong Vietnam Co., Ltd. in coordination with the company.

According to Mr. Dao Xuan Thu - Vice Chairman of the Company's Trade Union, this is the 18th year the company has organized a bus trip to bring workers from far away provinces back to their hometowns to celebrate Tet. This year, the company organized 9 buses, including routes to Lang Son, Thanh Hoa, Nghe An, Ha Tinh, bringing nearly 400 workers and their relatives.

Due to the cold and rainy weather, this morning, the Executive Committee of the Trade Union was present early to help workers move their belongings and luggage, quickly settling into their seats for a smooth departure. The Trade Union and the Company also wished the workers a Happy New Year and gave them lucky money before boarding the bus back to their hometowns. "We hope that with the love and care of the Trade Union and the Company, the workers will have a warm New Year's Eve at home and return to work after the Tet holiday," Mr. Thu shared.

Previously, on the morning of January 25, the Trade Union of Toyoda Gosei Co., Ltd. (in the same industrial park as Japan - Hai Phong) also organized 4 trips to bring workers from far away provinces back to their hometowns to celebrate Tet. Mr. Vu Dinh Thuong - Chairman of the Company's Trade Union - said: This year, the company organized 4 trips to bring nearly 150 workers and their relatives to the provinces of Yen Bai, Tuyen Quang, Ha Tinh, Thanh Hoa. This is one of the activities of the company's trade union to take care of Tet for workers. Thereby, helping workers from far away provinces to conveniently return home to celebrate Tet with their relatives.

It is known that this year, the city has 3 units organizing bus trips for workers to return home for Tet, namely the Yazaki Hai Phong Vietnam Co., Ltd. Union, Toyoda Gosei Co., Ltd. Union (under the Hai Phong Economic Zone Union) and Dinh Vang Co., Ltd. Union (under the Hai Phong Industry and Trade Union). In addition, the City Labor Federation presented 10,000 bus tickets, each worth 300,000 VND, to workers from far away provinces returning home for Tet.
