Vice Chairman of Bac Ninh Provincial People's Committee Le Xuan Loi has just signed a decision on the Plan for recruiting and appointing labor mediators in the province in 2026.
According to the plan, the selection aims to supplement and build a team of labor mediators to meet the requirements of resolving labor disputes and supporting the development of labor relations in the context of implementing the 2-level local government model.
Thereby, contributing to ensuring the legitimate rights and interests of employees and employers, in accordance with the provisions of the 2019 Labor Code.
It is expected that in 2026, Bac Ninh province will select and appoint 25 labor conciliators, distributed in communes and wards in the area.
Mediators who have been appointed before and are still on duty will continue to perform their duties until the end of their term. The term of office of a labor mediator is 5 years.
Regarding the implementation time, from March 25 to April 8, 2026, agencies and units will notify and receive applications for recruitment.
From April 15 to April 25, 2026, the Department of Home Affairs of Bac Ninh province will conduct dossier appraisal, select qualified personnel, and submit them to the Chairman of Bac Ninh Provincial People's Committee for consideration and decision on appointment.
The plan requires that the selection and appointment must ensure compliance with legal regulations, be consistent with the reality of labor relations in the locality, and at the same time ensure the quantity, quality and schedule set out.
The Department of Home Affairs of Bac Ninh province presides over the implementation, guidance, receipt and appraisal of dossiers; and at the same time publicizes selection information on mass media and the Electronic Information Portal.
People's Committees of communes and wards are responsible for reviewing and introducing qualified personnel; press agencies, the Fatherland Front and related organizations strengthen propaganda and mobilization to participate in the selection.
According to the 2019 Labor Code, a labor mediator is a person appointed by the Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee to mediate issues related to labor disputes; disputes over vocational training contracts. In addition, labor mediators also support the development of labor relations.
According to Article 92 of Decree 145/2020/ND-CP, to become a labor mediator, it is necessary to meet the following requirements:
As a Vietnamese citizen, having full civil act capacity according to the provisions of the Civil Code, having good health and moral qualities.
Have a university degree or higher and have at least 3 years of working experience in a field related to labor relations.
Not being subject to criminal prosecution or having completed sentence execution but not yet having criminal record expunged.
