Regarding the case of blasting for stone mining causing damage to people's houses, on March 19, the Department of Industry and Trade of Quang Tri province issued a decision to temporarily suspend blasting for mineral exploitation by 207 Co., Ltd. in Nam Ba Don commune.
To ensure the stability of security and order and the lives and activities of people in Tien Phong village, the Department of Industry and Trade requests 207 Co., Ltd. to stop all activities using industrial explosives to detonate mines for stone mining at Len Vung quarry, Tuyen Hoa commune and Len Cut Tai quarry, Nam Ba Don commune.
Urgently coordinate with local authorities to verify damages and overcome, support, and provide adequate compensation to people.
At the same time, inspect and report to the Department of Industry and Trade and related departments and branches, the Commune People's Committee in detail and specifically on the process of exploiting and using industrial explosives; the extent of impact, causes and damage to people before March 21, 2026.

Previously, as Lao Dong Newspaper reported, at about 11:30 am on March 18, during the blasting for stone mining at the mine of 207 Co., Ltd., rocks flew into the residential area, causing 5 houses to have their roofs punctured, and dozens of other houses were affected.
Immediately after receiving the news, the Chairman of the Commune People's Committee directed the Commune Police, the Economic Department and the head of Tien Phong village to the scene to verify. The incident caused people to be upset and worried.
