Accordingly, the Standing Committee of the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor organized the Third Conference (XIV term) to give opinions on the Project to summarize 5 years of implementing Resolution No. 02-NQ/TW dated June 12, 2021 of the Politburo of the XIII term on innovating the organization and operation of Vietnam Trade Unions in the new situation.
The conference took place under the chairmanship of Mr. Nguyen Anh Tuan - Member of the Party Central Committee, President of the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor.
Attending the conference were Standing Vice President of the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor Ngo Duy Hieu; Vice Presidents: Thai Thu Xuong, Nguyen Xuan Hung, Le Van Nghia; Mr. Vu Anh Duc - Standing Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee of the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor.
Chairman of the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor Nguyen Anh Tuan sent congratulations to the members of the Standing Committee on the occasion of the 97th anniversary of the founding of the Vietnam Trade Union (July 28, 1929 - July 28, 2026), and expressed his wish that the members continue to promote the spirit of responsibility, creativity, and excellently complete the assigned tasks.
Speaking at the opening of the conference, the President of the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor emphasized that the preliminary review takes place in the context that the Trade Union organization is facing many new requirements and challenges.
According to the Chairman of the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor, this preliminary review is not only aimed at assessing the results after 5 years of implementing Resolution No. 02-NQ/TW, but more importantly, to identify new issues raised to propose appropriate mechanisms and policies, creating conditions for the Vietnam Trade Union to continue to promote its role.
Mr. Nguyen Anh Tuan affirmed that the Standing Committee of the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor giving opinions on this preliminary review project is an important step in the process of completing the report, before submitting it to the Party Committee of the Fatherland Front, central mass organizations, and at the same time reporting to the Politburo for consideration and comments on the preliminary review results of 5 years of implementing Resolution No. 02-NQ/TW...
