According to Mr. Ngo Duy Hieu, Vietnamese history is associated with the struggles to protect the Fatherland, in which so many people sacrificed for the independence and freedom of the nation.

The war has passed, but many families still bear the pain of loss, many wounded soldiers suffer lifelong injuries, and many families are still affected by Agent Orange through many generations.

The Standing Vice President of the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor also acknowledged the efforts of the team of officials and workers who are relatives of families with meritorious services working at departments and units directly under the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor.

He wished that each official, civil servant, public employee, and laborer would continue to promote family traditions, uphold the spirit of responsibility, and successfully complete assigned tasks, contributing to building an increasingly strong Trade Union organization and a increasingly developed country.

The Vietnam General Confederation of Labor always respects and expresses gratitude to heroic martyrs, wounded soldiers, sick soldiers, and people with meritorious services to the revolution. First of all, we need to be grateful to the relatives of officials in the agency who have made contributions and sacrifices for the Fatherland. Today's gifts, although small, show the feelings, sharing and gratitude of the leaders of the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor towards families with meritorious services," Mr. Ngo Duy Hieu shared.

Representing officials who are relatives of families of people with meritorious services to the revolution, Ms. Pham Phuong Lan - Deputy Head of the Faculty of Political Theory, Trade Union University - expressed her emotion at the meeting program dedicated to relatives of families of people with meritorious services.

I hope this meaningful activity will continue to be maintained in the coming years. This is a source of encouragement for us to continue to promote family traditions, strive in study, labor and work, and contribute to the development of the Trade Union organization and the country," Ms. Pham Phuong Lan shared.

According to Mr. Long, today's young generation is fortunate to be born and raised in peace, to enjoy the fruits of so many sacrifices and contributions of heroic martyrs, wounded soldiers, sick soldiers and families with meritorious services to the revolution.

Through the sharing at the meeting, we understand even more that behind each "Fatherland Remembers Merit" Certificate, each war wound is the silent sacrifice of so many families for the country to have peace, independence and happiness like today," Mr. Long shared.
