Up to now, Binh Thuan province has 878 workers working abroad under contracts, mainly in markets such as Japan, Korea, Taiwan (China), Hungary, China, the US...
To help workers trust and go abroad to work, the Department of Labor, War Invalids and Social Affairs of Binh Thuan province has coordinated with reputable businesses to organize consultation and recruitment of workers in the province through job fairs.
Workers are advised on markets with good working conditions, safety, high salaries, while helping to improve qualifications and vocational skills and popularizing State policies in supporting workers to work abroad to contribute to poverty reduction, increase income, especially for workers in rural areas, especially difficult areas, and ethnic minorities.
When workers agree to go abroad to work and meet the conditions, they will be supported to complete the procedures and sent to work abroad under contract.
In general, Binh Thuan workers who go to work abroad for a limited period are mostly unskilled workers, in common occupations such as agriculture, industrial labor, food processing workers, construction workers, machine operators, nurses, domestic workers, sailors, etc.
However, workers still have the opportunity to improve their skills, acquire modern technology, professional working style, and be trained in high discipline and conduct in an international environment.
Through labor export, the province has reduced pressure on vocational training, created jobs for workers, increased foreign currency revenue for the locality, helped many households escape poverty, and improved their quality of life.
The majority of local workers working abroad strictly comply with the laws of the host country, are united, have a sense of responsibility and national spirit, and actively promote the cultural identity, image, and people of Binh Thuan in particular and the country in general to international friends.
An expert from the Binh Thuan Employment Service Center (Department of Labor, War Invalids and Social Affairs) in charge of labor export said that over the years, more and more workers have been proactive in learning and grasping information about the labor market abroad. Thereby, workers carefully research information, choose markets with high quality and income to register to participate. Workers working abroad all accumulate capital and work experience to find better jobs after returning home or proactively develop production and business, improving the quality of life.
Besides the positive results in labor export, there are also difficulties. Laborers who go to work abroad have accumulated material wealth, experience, and working style. However, the support, exploitation, and promotion of this labor resource after returning home are still not really effective and need more attention.
