Life changes thanks to labor export
Buon Don border district is known as a barren land with harsh climate. This is one of the localities with the most difficult economic conditions in Dak Lak province.
In this context, over the years, the Party, State and authorities at all levels in Buon Don district have had many policies to support people to overcome difficulties and escape poverty.
Among many support channels, labor export has great potential, promising to open up opportunities for people in the journey of effective hunger eradication and poverty reduction.
However, it is not easy for people to understand the benefits and significance of labor export because people here are used to life and lifestyle in their hometown.
Leaving their native land to go to a place they have never been to is a challenge. However, with political determination, Buon Don district has organized and coordinated many propaganda campaigns to change people's thinking and provide official and useful information about labor export.
Accordingly, workers who are ethnic minorities, poor or near-poor households, or relatives of people with revolutionary contributions, when they have a need to export labor, will be supported by the State.
People will be supported with vocational training, foreign languages, and necessary knowledge; supported with food and travel expenses during the study period; passport and visa procedures, health check-ups, criminal records, etc.
During the process of working abroad, labor exporters are also supported in resolving risks and protected by law according to regulations... In particular, workers are also supported in borrowing capital from preferential programs, so they can work abroad with peace of mind.
Mr. Y Khue H'Mok, from Ea Bar commune, Buon Don district, has been working abroad in Japan for 5 years. Thanks to the connection and support of the government, Mr. Y Khue has found a suitable job with a stable salary, helping his family improve their lives.
Seeing that the job in Japan was stable and had a high income, Y Khue's two brothers-in-law also followed suit.
Promote labor export propaganda
According to the assessment of the Department of Labor, War Invalids and Social Affairs of Buon Don district, workers who go abroad to work under contracts and receive policy support from the State have all adapted well to the new working environment.
Thereby, helping them have a stable source of income to improve their own lives and support their families; contributing to helping their families and relatives reduce poverty and improve the quality of life.
Head of the Department of Labor, War Invalids and Social Affairs of Buon Don district, Le Thanh Son, shared that the effectiveness of labor export is quite clear.
In order for workers, especially ethnic minorities and poor households, to access state policies, the locality has implemented many solutions in recent times.
The district is promoting propaganda on many information channels so that workers can grasp and understand the market as well as other support programs and policies.
"In particular, at job fairs, localities always emphasize the issue of financial support for workers who are ethnic minorities, poor and near-poor households.
From there, it will help make the path to work abroad under contract for workers in the district more convenient and effective" - Mr. Son emphasized.
