According to the plan of the Ca Mau Provincial Labor Federation, the Action Month on Occupational Safety and Health takes place from May 1-31 with the theme "Innovating management and improving the effectiveness of OSH work in the digital age".
Activities focus on raising awareness and awareness of law compliance on occupational safety and health; proactively preventing labor accidents and occupational diseases; improving working conditions and caring for workers in difficult circumstances.

Mr. Huynh Van Dam - Vice Chairman of the Ca Mau Provincial Labor Federation - said that the launching ceremony of the Action Month associated with Workers' Month is expected to attract more than 800 participants.
Along with that, propaganda work is promoted in many forms, combining visual and digital platforms. Safe work skills, fire prevention and fighting, and first aid training classes are also organized to help workers proactively prevent risks.
Trade unions at all levels strengthen coordination with employers to organize dialogues at the workplace, promptly grasp and resolve issues related to working conditions and environment. Inspection and supervision are focused on, especially in high-risk industries such as construction, mechanics, and electricity.

At the grassroots level, commune and ward trade unions flexibly deploy many activities suitable to reality. Mr. Nguyen Thanh Binh - Chairman of Bac Lieu Ward Trade Union - said that the unit integrates occupational safety and health content into periodic activities; coordinates with businesses to organize training and equip workers with skills.
The application of social networks such as Zalo and Facebook also contributes to improving the effectiveness of propaganda.
In addition, the work of caring for the lives of union members and workers continues to be concerned. It is expected that the Provincial Labor Federation will present 500 gifts at the launching ceremony and 300 gifts to workers in difficult circumstances, who have had labor accidents or suffer from occupational diseases.
The "Trade Union Shelter" program continues to be maintained, while mobilizing socialized resources to organize free health check-ups and disease screening for female workers at some businesses.
