On September 10, the Central State Bank Trade Union launched a campaign for union members and employees of the State Bank to donate to support people in storm and flood affected areas.
At the launch, Mr. Dao Minh Tu - Permanent Deputy Governor of the State Bank, Chairman of the Trade Union of The State Bank of Vietnam - emphasized: "Now more than ever, our compatriots need the joint help of the whole country. Every contribution, no matter how small, is a great source of encouragement, helping our compatriots overcome difficulties and stabilize their lives."
In the spirit of mutual love, units under the State Bank have actively responded and implemented donation and support activities. The donated money will be transferred to people affected by storms and floods, helping them overcome the consequences and stabilize their lives.
Previously, in the official dispatch launching donations and support for compatriots affected by storm No. 3 sent to the affiliated grassroots unions, the Central State Bank Trade Union requested the grassroots unions to: Launch, mobilize and notify union members and workers to attend and support the program; report and invite unit leaders to arrange to attend the launching program.

With the spirit of "Forgetting oneself for the country, serving the people", under the direction of Brigadier general Ngo Hoai Thu - Deputy Director of the Department of Party and Political Affairs, on the afternoon of September 10, the working delegation including the Youth Union, Women's Union, and the People's Public Security Trade Union visited and encouraged the forces participating in flood and storm prevention and gave necessities to people in Thai Nguyen province.
At Thai Nguyen Provincial Police, on behalf of the working delegation, Brigadier General Ngo Hoai Thu visited the situation of officers and soldiers of Thai Nguyen Provincial Police; presented resources including: 400kg of rice; 200 barrels of water; 214 barrels of instant noodles; 121 barrels of milk, 200 barrels of rice cakes; 2 barrels of functional foods; 4 lifeboats (worth nearly 200 million VND).
Next, the delegation visited officers and soldiers, and on-site forces supporting and helping people at Ben Tuong Bridge, Thai Nguyen City, where the water level rose and people could not move.
On the same afternoon, the Youth Union, Women's Union, and People's Police Union connected through the Yen Bai Provincial Police Women's Union to send support to the people of Yen Bai with 200 boxes of instant noodles, 200 flashlights, 6 boxes of pork floss cakes, and over 20 boxes of purified water.
Millions of arms turn to compatriots affected by storm number 3
Storm No. 3 (Storm Yagi) caused severe damage and impacts in many provinces in the Northern region.
