On July 18, 400 workers of Yupoong Vietnam Co., Ltd. stopped working collectively after information that the company adjusted the regional minimum wage to increase by 140,000 VND/person/month.
Workers requested an increase of 280,000 VND/person/month, according to Decree 74/2024/ND-CP dated June 30, 2024 of the Government.
On July 19, the number of workers who stopped working was about 1,500 people and continued to stop working in the following days (July 20, July 22).
On the morning of July 23, there were still 996 workers who stopped working collectively. However, by the afternoon of the same day, all company workers returned to work.

The company stated that it has no orders so it cannot further adjust the minimum wage for employees.
