Lang Son Provincial People's Committee has just requested departments, branches and local authorities to strengthen the management of sending Vietnamese workers to work abroad under contracts.
This move is aimed at preventing the situation of impersonating functional agencies and businesses to recruit and advertise "light job, high salary", forging contracts or collecting money against regulations from people who need to work abroad.
Advertised fraud tricks may be related to labor-intensive markets such as South Korea, Japan, Taiwan, Australia and Canada.
The Provincial Police are assigned to review organizations and individuals without licenses but still consulting, recruiting, brokering or advertising to send workers abroad, especially on social networks and online associations and groups.
The Department of Home Affairs coordinates with the police and local authorities to monitor the activities of businesses and branches providing labor export services.
Cases of collecting money higher than regulations or taking advantage of the preparation of labor resources to illegally collect money must be detected and handled.
The commune-level government is responsible for grasping the needs of the people, inspecting recruitment units operating in the area and warning workers not to pay money or sign contracts with organizations and individuals who do not meet legal conditions.
Workers are advised to only learn information from businesses licensed by the Ministry of Home Affairs and official programs such as EPS, IM Japan, JVEPA, programs to send nurses to Germany or work in Taiwan.
Lang Son is currently piloting sending workers to Korea to work seasonally in the agricultural sector, and at the same time implementing a labor cooperation agreement across borders with Sung Ta city, Guangxi, China.
For these programs, the dossiers, resumes, qualifications and experience of the applicant must be strictly appraised, avoiding taking advantage of the program to exit, reside or work illegally.
The province also requested families to remind people working abroad to comply with contracts and return home on time; mobilize cases of illegal residence and work to return soon.
