On June 14, Mr. Nguyen Cong Dinh - Deputy Director of Social Insurance Region I said that recently, Social Insurance Region I received feedback from a number of leaders of social insurance districts, towns, and inter-districts of people and workers in the city about some subjects impersonating social insurance agency officers calling to request the provision of citizen identification cards (CCCD), personal information to update on the VssID application - Social Insurance number or integrating health insurance cards into the CCCD; thereby, aiming to steal deposits in the bank accounts of participants and beneficiaries of social insurance and health insurance.
In order to ensure the personal information of workers and people is kept confidential, avoiding being taken advantage of and scammed by bad guys, the Social Insurance of Region I respectfully requests that units coordinate to inform workers and people in the area the following contents: Social Insurance of Region I and Social Insurance of districts, towns and cities currently do not have a policy of calling, texting friends via the zalo application or sending links, QR codes to support, requiring participants and beneficiaries of social insurance and health insurance policies to provide CCCD, personal information to update on the VssID application - Digital Social Insurance or integrate health insurance cards into the CCCD.
When there is a need to update and adjust personal information, it is recommended that units, participants, and beneficiaries of social insurance and health insurance policies directly contact Social Insurance of Region I, Social Insurance of districts, towns and cities for support and can do so on the National Public Service Portal, Vietnam Social Insurance Public Service Portal, on the VssID application - Digital Social Insurance.
Transactions and interactions of participants and beneficiaries of social insurance and health insurance policies with social insurance agencies through the above official channels are not subject to fees.
To avoid being taken advantage of and scammed, workers and people need to regularly update information about social insurance and health insurance policies through official channels of the Social Insurance Sector; monitor announcements from authorities about fraud methods and tricks on mass media; research and check carefully before making transactions on the network environment (not making friends with Zalo, not clicking on strange links or providing OTP codes, personal passwords...).
