Warning about scams for workers to work in Korea

The Overseas Labor Center has just issued a warning about impersonation and fraud to illegally collect money from workers working in Korea.

According to information from the Overseas Labor Center (Colab) - Ministry of Home Affairs, recently, there have been continued to appear subjects impersonating Colab, forging seals, and forging signatures of the leaders of the Ministry of Home Affairs informing workers to work in Korea.

These notices require employees to pay money to defraud and illegally collect money from employees.

Colab issued a warning that these notices were not issued by Colab at all. The list of workers listed is also not in the database of registration to participate in non-profit programs implemented by this center.

The Overseas Labor Center informs workers to know and avoid the above acts of scammers.

In case the employee has been illegally collected money by the scammers, the employee is requested to report to the police, and at the same time notify the Overseas Labor Center for coordination in verification and clarification.
