This is a training class to update knowledge about policies on developing vocational skills, health care, environmental protection and occupational safety and health organized by the VGCL, implementing the 2026 work program.
Speaking at the opening, Mr. Tong Van Bang - Member of the Standing Committee of the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor, Head of the Labor Relations Department said that from the new requirements, the team of trade union officials needs to be updated with knowledge to organize and deploy activities at the grassroots level.
Head of the Labor Relations Department of the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor also emphasized that the development of vocational skills, health care, and occupational safety and hygiene are important factors related to increasing labor productivity - a content of the emulation movement "Good Labor - High Productivity - Good Income".
The training class was organized in direct and online forms with the participation of nearly 400 students. Among them, 45 students from industry trade unions attended directly and connected online to 44 bridge points: Vietnam Rubber Trade Union, 34 Provincial and City Labor Federations and 9 vocational education institutions directly under the General Confederation.
According to the plan, on August 25-26, trainees will exchange 4 topics, including: New policies on developing vocational skills for workers according to the provisions of the Law on Employment and Labor in the new era; Guidance on proactive health care - Prevention of occupational diseases for workers; Skills and methods of working of trade union officials on occupational safety and health and environmental protection contributing to improving workers' health; Guidance on some contents of implementing the Project "Trade Unions promoting building a culture of occupational safety in the workplace in the period 2025 - 2030".
Through the training class, Trade Union officials improved their knowledge of policies on developing vocational skills, health care, environmental protection and occupational safety and health for the team of trade union officials.
