The highlight of the spirit of innovation in the implementation of the "Listening to Trade Union Members and Workers' Voices" program of Hanoi Trade Union levels is to listen to the reality, respond promptly, and follow to the end the resolution of petitions, thereby better protecting the legitimate and lawful rights and interests of union members and workers.
Employment, wages, income, working conditions, social insurance, housing, quality of meals, vocational training... are issues that directly affect the lives of each union member and worker.
With the spirit of strongly focusing on grassroots levels, in July 2026, the Hanoi Labor Federation launched the "Month of Listening to Union Members and Workers' Voices" program, creating a forum for workers to directly express their thoughts, aspirations, reflect difficulties and propose solutions to the Trade Union organization, Party committees, authorities and functional agencies.
The highlight of the program is the widespread organization of meetings and dialogues, with the direct participation of heads of Party committees and local authorities.
In July 2026, 80/84 commune and ward trade unions organized meetings and dialogues between local leaders and trade union officials, union members and workers.
In many communes and wards, both the Party Secretary and the Chairman of the People's Committee directly attended, listened to and exchanged with workers, not only showing responsibility for the lives and jobs of workers but also contributing to shortening the gap between petitioners and competent authorities for resolution.
Many issues under authority were discussed and clarified immediately at the conference; contents that needed more time were recorded, classified and transferred to functional agencies for consideration.
Hundreds of opinions were raised, focusing on practical issues such as employment, wages, bonuses, income; working hours, rest hours; working conditions, safety, occupational hygiene; quality of meals; Social insurance, health insurance, unemployment insurance; social housing, kindergartens and cultural institutions serving workers.
In addition, union members and workers also pay attention to the requirements of vocational training and fostering; adapting to digital transformation, green transformation; promoting initiatives, technical improvements and deploying the emulation movement "Good labor, high productivity, good income".
The dialogues are organized in a democratic, public, and transparent manner, encouraging workers to exchange frankly and openly in a constructive, respectful and cooperative spirit.
The dialogue content closely follows reality in each locality, agency, unit, and business; limiting formality, focusing on issues that workers really care about.
More importantly, the responsibility of the Trade Union organization does not stop after the conference ends. Opinions and recommendations are fully summarized and classified according to content and authority to resolve.
Trade unions at all levels continue to monitor, urge, and supervise the handling process, and promptly inform union members and workers of the results.
