Implementing Plan No. 133/KH-TLD dated September 30, 2024 of the Presidium of the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor on organizing activities to care for union members and workers on the occasion of the Lunar New Year 2025, the Bac Giang Provincial Federation of Labor has issued documents directing trade unions at all levels in the province to care for union members and workers on the occasion of the Lunar New Year 2025.
The Provincial Labor Federation visited, congratulated Tet and presented gifts to 10 enterprises that take good care of union members and workers in 2024; visited and presented more than 11,000 Tet gifts to union members and workers in difficult circumstances, hardships, work accidents, occupational diseases, serious illnesses; reduced jobs, reduced income (each gift worth from 500,000 VND - 1,300,000 VND) with a total amount of over 6 billion VND.
The gifts were presented by the Standing Committee of the Provincial Labor Federation at the Program "Tet Sum Vay - Spring Thanks to the Party", associated with the Program "Tet Union Market" and at the Program "Tet Sum Vay - Spring Thanks to the Party" of districts, cities, towns, industry unions, Provincial Industrial Park Unions, grassroots unions and presented at enterprises. The Provincial Labor Federation welcomed leaders of the Party, State, Vietnam General Confederation of Labor, and Provincial Party Committee to visit and present 300 gifts to workers, with a total value of 390 million VND.
Provide financial support for 10 union members with difficult housing circumstances to build and repair houses at the Union Shelter, with support ranging from 25-50 million VND per house, with a total amount of 370 million VND. Give gifts to 93 workers and laborers who have had their jobs and incomes reduced, with a total amount of 46.5 million VND.
Organize the program "Tet Sum Vay - Xuan Ung Dang", associated with the program "Tet Union Market" in 2025 with a scale of 70 booths displaying and selling over 50,000 items, essential products with preferential prices of 10-50% off, organize a 0 VND booth to give away essential Tet goods to 3,000 workers in difficult circumstances, give 10,000 discount coupons to workers buying goods at the booths.
At the same time, organizing cultural exchange activities, singing for workers - listening to workers sing, folk dance competition, banh chung wrapping competition, fruit tray display competition, tug of war competition, sack jumping competition, lucky draw, legal advice... The program attracted over 20,000 workers to participate.
The Provincial Labor Federation assigned the Provincial Industrial Parks Trade Union to organize the "Union Bus Trip" program and the grassroots trade union arranged over 20 buses to bring more than 1,000 workers far from home (Ha Tinh, Nghe An, Thanh Hoa, Ha Giang...) back home for Tet.
Supervise to ensure that enterprises pay full salary, give bonuses to union members and workers during Tet; many enterprises have 13th month salary for workers. Organize the program "Tet not far from home" for 300 workers who do not return home for Tet, stay in boarding houses. Organize visits and New Year greetings to units performing tasks and production workers during Tet holiday.
Trade unions at all levels have organized activities to care for Tet for union members and workers such as: 17/17 district, city, town labor federations, industry unions, provincial industrial park unions and 574 grassroots trade unions of enterprises with a large number of workers organized "Tet Sum Vay - Xuan Ung Deng" with activities of giving Tet gifts, performing arts, folk games, lucky draws, banh chung wrapping contests... creating a joyful atmosphere, welcoming Tet among workers.
In addition, in coordination with heads of agencies, units, and business owners, over 265,846 gifts and bus tickets were presented to union members and workers with a total value of over 159 billion VND. In coordination with partners on the "Welfare Program for Union Members and Workers", gifts were presented to union members, workers in difficult circumstances and the poor with a total value of over 1.6 billion VND; on this occasion, over 30,000 union members and workers were able to buy discounted products on the occasion of the Lunar New Year 2025 from partners. The total value of incentives that union members and workers received on this occasion was over 1.6 billion VND.
