President of the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor Nguyen Dinh Khang said that in response to the emulation movement "Promoting the development of synchronous and modern infrastructure, practicing thrift, and combating waste" and the Prime Minister's Conclusion on solutions to accelerate the progress of completing key works and projects, on February 27, 2024, the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor in coordination with the Vietnam Electricity Group launched an emulation movement at the construction site of the 500kV line 3 project with the aim of propagating and raising awareness among cadres, civil servants, and workers about the meaning, role and importance of the project; creating a vibrant competitive atmosphere, encouraging and motivating cadres, civil servants, and workers to promote initiatives and creativity, improve management efficiency, enhance technical innovation, improve labor productivity, contribute to accelerating progress and ensuring quality.
At the launching ceremony, union members, workers and representatives of the electricity industry and contractors signed a competition agreement with the five most competitive goals: "Fastest progress; Best quality; Safest - most economical; Most creative; Best care for life" in line with the Prime Minister's drastic guidelines.
“It can be said that this is one of the projects that after launching the emulation campaign, the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor and Trade Unions at all levels have paid the most attention and care to the workers. Trade Unions at all levels have organized hundreds of delegations to visit, encourage, and give gifts to workers at the construction site with a total amount of nearly 20 billion VND.
The Vietnam General Confederation of Labor has also allocated union funds to support union members and workers on secondment, to strengthen the project to promptly complete the progress with an amount of nearly 5 billion VND. The union meal organized by the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor on the occasion of the 95th anniversary of the founding of the Vietnam Trade Union (July 28, 1929 - July 28, 2024) organized by unions at all levels for workers on the construction site is also a highlight to create a warm family atmosphere, a spirit of solidarity on the construction site and supplement the quality of meals for workers" - President of the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor Nguyen Dinh Khang said.
Efforts to overcome difficulties, compete
According to the leader of the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor, the messages and instructions of the Prime Minister "only discuss work, no backtracking", "through holidays, through Tet, through days off", "3 shifts, 4 shifts", "eat quickly, sleep urgently"... have been regularly and continuously communicated to union members and workers by the media and union officials at all levels, and have become a spreading effect, creating a spirit and working atmosphere, urgent and positive in all positions at the construction site.
During the construction period, the Trade Union at all levels encouraged workers to work continuously, without rest. With pole positions on high mountains, far from accommodation, workers had to eat right at their work positions at the construction site. The spirit of solidarity, joint efforts, unanimity, and determination to complete the Project at the construction site spread strongly among workers, civil servants, and laborers in the electricity industry. When it was necessary to increase forces for the final construction, thousands of union members and workers voluntarily wrote applications to "support" the construction site of the 500kV line 3...
Being able to participate and contribute to the 500kV circuit 3 has become the pride of every worker. The enthusiastic competitive spirit at the construction site has not only spread widely among the workers, but also to the entire social community, armed forces, youth union members and people in the localities where the Project passes through.
President of the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor Nguyen Dinh Khang said that the emulation movement has created a spirit of overcoming difficulties and challenges, many initiatives and new ways of doing things for the project to ensure "Fastest progress", "Safest - Most economical" and "Most creative".
The emulation movement on the 500kV line project, circuit 3, officially ended. The 5 Best goals of the movement were achieved and contributed significantly to the completion of the project.
The emulation movement has recorded unforgettable impressions of solidarity and high determination in the hearts of all cadres, union members, and workers who have participated in the construction of the Project during the past time.
The echoes, heroic spirit and enthusiasm from this emulation movement will forever remain in each of us. It is not only the “speaking” numbers about progress, quality, or labor safety, but also the strong direction of the Government and the Prime Minister; the spirit of solidarity, determination and the fierce, synchronous participation of the entire political system at all levels, the consensus and support of the people, and the wholehearted dedication of the entire workforce.
