Implementing Document No. 3345-CV/TU, dated June 6, 2025 of the Standing Committee of the Ninh Binh Provincial Party Committee on approving the Project on reorganizing the apparatus of the Ninh Binh Provincial Federation of Labor (LDLD), on the afternoon of June 16, the Ninh Binh Provincial Federation of Labor held a conference to announce decisions on terminating the operations of the Labor Federations of districts, cities, the Provincial Party Trade Unions, the Provincial People's Committee Trade Unions and the Industrial Park Trade Unions.
At the conference, representatives of the Organizing Committee of the Ninh Binh Provincial Federation of Labor announced the decisions of the Chairman of the Ninh Binh Provincial Federation of Labor on terminating the activities of 10 trade unions at the grassroots level in Ninh Binh province (including the Hoa Lu City Federation of Labor, Tam Diep City Federation of Labor, Nho Quan District Federation of Labor, Gia Vien District Federation of Labor, Yen Khanh District Federation of Labor, Yen Mo District Federation of Labor, Kim Son District Federation of Labor, Industrial Park Trade Union, Provincial Party Agency Trade Union and Provincial People's Committee Trade Union) from June 16.
At the same time, the decisions to receive 10 union officials from the Industrial Park Trade Union, the Provincial Party Trade Union and the Provincial People's Committee Trade Union were announced to the Ninh Binh Provincial Federation of Labor.
Ninh Binh Provincial Federation of Labor received 361 grassroots unions with more than 88,700 union members (grassroots unions not subject to dissolution). At the same time, 732 grassroots trade unions under the administrative sector received 100% of their salaries from the State budget were dissolved.
The Ninh Binh Provincial Federation of Labor also issued decisions to transfer 18 union officials (under the management of the Standing Committee of the Ninh Binh Provincial Federation of Labor) at the Labor Federations of districts and cities to the Standing Committees of the District Party Committee and the City Party Committee for management and assignment of work.
Speaking at the conference, Mr. Hoang Manh Hung - Chairman of the Ninh Binh Provincial Federation of Labor - emphasized that the end of the activities of trade unions at the grassroots level is not an end, but a transformation to develop, a premise for a strong, flexible and more practical trade union organization model.
"We are entering a new period with many opportunities and many challenges. Trade unions, regardless of level or model, still maintain a mission of caring for, protecting, and accompanying workers. We have closed a model, a period but not closed the spirit, not closed the feelings, not closed the responsibility" - Chairman of Ninh Binh Provincial Federation of Labor Hoang Manh Hung affirmed.
