Here, the leaders of the Provincial Federation of Labor emphasized the proactive and serious spirit of implementing the reorganization of the Trade Union apparatus according to the policies of the Politburo and the Provincial Party Committee.
Accordingly, Quang Nam has transferred 103 grassroots trade unions with more than 11,300 union members from three industry trade unions (Health, Education, Construction) to district-level labor federations, dissolved industry trade unions, and established provincial Party agencies and provincial People's Committee trade unions. Along with that is the merger of district-level units and specialized departments, ensuring streamlining and efficiency.
Although the organizational structure has changed, the Provincial Federation of Labor affirmed that it will not reduce the number of union members and the scope of care for workers. The rate of strong grassroots trade unions is still maintained at over 81.6%, and the management of union members is increasingly disciplined and methodical.
The organization arrangement is considered an important step to improve the quality of Trade Union activities, in line with the trend of transforming the administrative management model in the new period.
At the meeting, Mr. Phan Xuan Quang - Chairman of the Provincial Labor Federation expressed his gratitude to the local and central press agencies for accompanying the trade union organization in many activities in the past time.
At the same time, he hoped that press agencies would continue to accompany the trade union organization after the merger of provinces, thereby bringing the voice and aspirations of union members and workers as well as legal policies related to trade union organizations to the people.
