At this time, the Tet shopping atmosphere of union members and workers in the province is taking place vibrantly in a rather new way. With just a few operations on smartphones, union members can choose food and essential consumer goods through the "Trade Union Tet Market - Spring 2026" online program organized by the Vietnam General Confederation of Labour.
This is considered a form of care suitable for the working conditions of workers, especially those who work in shifts and have little time to go shopping directly.
To participate, union members only need to access the website or application of the program, log in according to instructions, choose products and pay with e-vouchers. Goods are delivered to the place or in the prescribed form, helping workers save time and travel costs.
On January 13, Mr. Nguyen Phu Hoang - Chairman of the Lam Dong Provincial Labor Federation - said that the program was implemented in the locality in two phases. Up to now, the Provincial Labor Federation has sent a list requesting the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor to approve the issuance of 4,000 e-vouchers for union members. In phase 1 alone, 2,334 e-vouchers were issued. In which, more than 1,500 e-vouchers have been used for shopping.
According to leaders of the Provincial Labor Federation, the number of union members participating in online shopping is increasing rapidly every day, especially as Tet Nguyen Dan is approaching - the time when the spending of workers' families increases.
To make the "Tet market" convenient, trade union levels are required to deploy in a flexible direction, providing timely support to union members, especially workers in remote areas, areas with difficulties or limited access to technology. Grassroots trade unions, commune, ward, and special zone trade unions play a bridging role, guiding and answering questions for union members.
Ms. Tran Thu Van - Chairwoman of the Trade Union of Ham Liem commune - said that union members are very excited when approaching the new shopping form, in which workers at Phan Thiet Industrial Park participate quite a lot. “Many people take advantage of lunch breaks or after work to go to the application to choose Tet goods” - Ms. Van shared.
Even when shopping with e-vouchers, the quality of goods is still prioritized. The products in the program are mainly essential goods serving Tet, produced and distributed by reputable businesses, with clear origins and a full customer care regime.
Ms. Nguyen Ngoc Mai, a union member working at a business in an industrial park, said that the support of 500,000 VND is not too large but very meaningful at the time of approaching Tet.
Thanks to e-vouchers, I can buy more food and necessities for my family, and more importantly, I feel the concern of the Trade Union organization, helping workers feel secure in their work and celebrate Tet warmly and more fully," Ms. Mai said.
