On November 28, at Fuyu Precision Technology Co., Ltd. (Bac Giang province), the Propaganda Department of the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor in coordination with the Bac Giang Provincial Labor Federation and the Trade Union of Industrial Parks in Bac Giang province organized a conference to disseminate knowledge and laws on drug prevention and control among workers.
Attending the conference were Mr. Ngo Duy Hieu, Vice President of the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor; Mr. Nguyen Manh Kien, Deputy Head of the General Confederation of Labor's Propaganda Department; Mr. Nguyen Manh Hung, Permanent Vice President of the Bac Giang Provincial Confederation of Labor.
Over 300 union members and employees at Fuyu Precision Technology Co., Ltd. attended.
Speaking at the conference, Mr. Ngo Duy Hieu, Vice President of the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor, said that as a representative organization, taking care of protecting the legitimate rights and interests of workers, the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor has proactively coordinated with the police force in preventing and stopping all types of crimes and drugs from afar early on to protect workers.
In 2024, the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor has developed and implemented a plan to implement a drug prevention program with the theme "Workers join hands to build a drug-free environment" with synchronous and comprehensive solutions with many innovative forms in drug prevention and control propaganda for workers. There are many short and convenient communication products to bring to the union's media agencies, focusing on communication work via social networks; creating short clips to bring to the grassroots level so that workers understand the harmful effects as well as methods to prevent the harmful effects of drugs.
At the conference, Mr. Ngo Duy Hieu shared knowledge and legal information on drug prevention and control; about the consequences and harms of drugs, new types of drugs, as well as methods and tricks of drug criminals, prevention skills to help workers raise their vigilance, proactively prevent and never be lured or enticed by drugs even once.
Mr. Nguyen Manh Hung, Permanent Vice President of the Bac Giang Provincial Labor Federation, assessed this as a practical and useful conference not only for more than 19,000 workers of Fuyu Precision Technology Co., Ltd. in particular and workers in the province in general, but also provided extensive knowledge for union officials.
The Vice President of the Bac Giang Provincial Labor Federation hopes that the knowledge at the conference will help each union member, worker, and union official continue to do a good job of drug prevention and control for themselves, their families, businesses, and the community.
